Overview
Nothing seems to stand out about this man with the very serious face, other than his ability to blend in and go forgotten. His demeanor is that of a well-trained young man who had manners driven into him, but there is always a hint of discomfort on his face in any social situation, sometimes even flickerings of panic in his brown eyes. Others might consider him stiff and dull, for his smiles are rare, which is a shame really as he sports the Iberik dimples he inherited from his mother. In others, Sharin wakes protective instincts, because he really appears to be the epitome of a sad young man.

Family Life
Sharin's childhood was difficult to say the least. He grew up largely without a father, Sabinus having been executed when he was 2, and was raised largely by nannies and occasionally by his mother. Yasha was disappointed with the way things had turned out, and expected her son to pull them out of it. He grew up distant and reserved due to his loss and raising, and would have an occasionally stormy relationship with his mother. Regardless of how they drive him nuts at times Sharin has a deep ingrained love of his family, and would sacrifice everything he has for them if needed to.
Parents
Sabinus Rissik: Sharin never knew Sabinus, not in any real way. He died when Sharin was 2 and the only memory Sharin has is of a vague paternal figure singing him a lullaby. Sharin isn't even sure if this is a real memory or something that he constructed to have something besides a couple of dolls and a suit of iron armor to remember his father by. He has spent his entire life living in Sabinus' shadow, examining the similarities and differences to find out just how much he is Sharin and how much he is Sabinus' son.
Yasha Rissik: Sharin has a lot of Yasha in him. A shrewd and calculating mind, a frightening perception about political circumstances and a certain ruthless quality that hides beneath the anti-social surface. His is a more tempered and less ambitious version, but this similarity still led them to clash as Sharin was able to put aside ambition and politics for love and happiness, something Yasha had difficulty doing sometimes. Still he loved her until the day that she died, and if he could have done anything to save her he would have, and he mourns her every day.
Siblings
Sabiros: Sabiros was Sharin's little brother, born just 10 months apart. They were as close as siblings could be, with Sabiros dreaming of being the hero to Sharin's leader. They protected eachother, with Sabiros forming the charm and charisma. The two began to be somewhat strained when Sharin started becoming a hero in his own right, and even more when the Rissiks were denobled. He was found murdered outside the city, and the criminal Pontius later admitted to it, which devastated Sharin horribly.
Nalene Elianik: Nalene is Sharin's half-sister, from when Yasha chose Sadin Elianik with a Festival prize. She is a Princess, raised in the Palace and not effected by the de-nobling. Sharin makes efforts to visit her as often as possible to make sure she is being treated well and remembers her Rissik family. She is a Rissik in Sharin's mind, even though she has no Rissik blood in her.
Marriage
Tamia Rissik: Sharin had known Tamia when she was Lady Tamia Derato, the two close friends before their ceremonies. When Timandra married Gavin they became non-blooded cousins. They cared for, and loved eachother, during that time. But Sharin also loved Prima Dawn, and was working to marry her. Before the Antonian Apostasy Sharin was working to marry Prima and Tamia was going to marry Neo Junik; but both of these fell through after the Rissiks were denobled and Neo was executed after the Apostasy. They married in a quiet ceremony on Monday, January 22nd 40 A.U. and have now had two children. He loves her deeply, not regretting their marriage or their lives together.

Accomplishments
Giant Eagle Rider
In the year 37 A.U. two Giant Eagles flew over the city of Anarinuell, disrupting griffon flights and knocking a pilot (whom they then saved from death) off his mount. They spent some time flying over the city but eventually settled down in the roost that had been used by the Chimera (the animal), making their nest. Guards were set by the Chimera clan to keep people from getting too close, and the birds lay three eggs which soon hatched into chicks: Two males and a female.
The males, as well as the parents, were generally aloof but the female was curious. She would chase sheep around the roost, and go up to the people. She would not get too close to anyone until Sharin visited. The two took an immediate liking to each other; she head-butted Sharin to greet him, and let him name her Garissa (the name suggested by Balinda). Soon she was old enough to fly on her own (with Sharin's encouragement), and the family got ready to leave. Torn between her family and Sharin Garissa eventually chose to stay in the city with him, and he became the third Giant Eagle Rider in history. Today Garissa lives at the Eagle Tower in the National Aviary, which had previously been built for Garen's mount.
Archery Champion of the Military
In 41 A.U. Sharin won the Military Archery competition, and was named the Archery Champion of the Military, a position that he still holds to this day.
Civil Heroics
War Season 42 A.U.
Awards
Republic Medal of Honor: Awarded for boundless acts of gallantry in the face of the enemy during the 42 A.U. war season for the reasons listed above. The second highest award in the Republic, and one of only 10 to be awarded for that war season. Aeryk's words from the award Ceremony: "Our next recipient--" Aeryk laughs. It's a low, rather dry laugh, "I am surprised he is still alive. Centurion Sharin rode into every Air Force engagement first. He flew, in some cases, when none other could, risking death for himself and his mount Garissa multiple times. I remember seeing that grand eagle nearly ripped to shreds over the walls of Fort Zayes to allow an Air Force scouting mission an essential diversion, without wish we would have failed and perhaps died. To Centurion Sharin, we honor your courage and your sacrifices. And thank the gods you lived."
Silver Wings of Bravery: Awarded to pilots who have withstood impossible odds and managed to succeed in their mission, awarded both for the whole war season of 42 A.U. and specifically for his part in drawing off enemy air support at great personal risk during the Fort Zayes scouting mission.
Republic Battle Medal: Awarded to anyone who participated in combat during the 42 A.U. war season.
Allies
Iberik Family: Sharin is half-Iberik by blood, from his mother Yasha nee Iberik. During and after the Apostasy the Iberik family has consistently been in his corner. They have supported him politically and financially, and he is eternally grateful to them. Still they confuse him greatly, and Sharin has described them privately as 'A group of cut-throat politicians and alcoholics whom I inexplicably love dearly.'
Banian Elianik: Banian...confuses Sharin, confuses him immensely. Outgoing and flighty, but with a mind like a steel trap for some things and like a sieve for others. He is a solid soldier and has declared grandly that Rissiks are some of his favorite people, and Sharin does not mind his slightly wind sodden company.
Timandra Rissik: Sharin has an interesting relationship with Timandra Rissik nee Derato nee Mondarik, his Head of Household and his Mother-in-law. When she first married in Sharin felt like she tried to take over the place, moving a statue of his father out of the front hall because she decided it was better in the hall. He would later beg Timandra for a marriage prize to marry Prima in to the family which Timandra would decline, for which he still hurts. Then later he would watch her give away a marriage prize to (in Sharin's mind) a significantly less worthy cause. And yet she did not oppose Sharin's marriage to Tamia, and has supported them both. Recently her feelings toward him have warmed significantly, although it is yet to be seen if this will survive Gavin's death.
Enemies
Antonius Marcus: One could argue Sharin won this round, given that Antonius is dead and Sharin is not. But this is the man who started the whole Apostasy nonsense that the Rissiks got dragged in to--which Sharin maintains wasn't true to begin with. If the man hadn't been executed Sharin would have killed him.
Hufimo Fengan: Sharin doesn't consider this young man an enemy as much as an annoyance. He has almost taken a swing at Hufimo, has actually beaten him during one of Hufimo's arrests, and has arrested him. But an enemy is someone you despise and go out of your way to take down, and Sharin just doesn't care that much about Hufimo.
Scandals
Miscellany
Habits
Sharin is very quiet and reserved, drawing from being both painfully shy and generally shaken by large groups of people. While it has gotten better as time has gone on he still tends to leave large events as soon as they are over and disappear for a period before dealing with people again.
Likes
Dislikes
Yappy Dogs: Sharin is not a fan of spaniels. Animals are supposed to serve a purpose, and all these do are sit on women's lap and yap. Sharin loves hounds and, while he doesn't hate Spaniels, doesn't understand why people like them.
Large Crowds: As stated before Sharin is phobic of large crowds. It is often mistakenly referred to as agoraphobia, but in truth Sharin has no problems with open spaces just any spaces filled with too many people. He gets pale and shaky and needs to go be by himself for a bit to get over it.
