Speech: Chimera's Restoration!
From FiranMUX
Summary
This speech was given by Prince Sadin Elianik in his role as a Republic Prince, in the year 32 A.U.
It outlines the way that he bested the Red Dragon in a game of skill and wit. As he, and the assorted citizens who volunteered, beat the Red Dragon, the Chimera reunited and left the city.
Speech Text
A relieved Sadin Elianik stands on the bath house steps of the recently reopenned forum. "The Chimera...Is rejoined!"
After that openner, everything else seems like it will be a let down, but Sadin adds some more details for what will surely be a curious populace. "On a board build for human sized game pieces, the Red Dragon and I, representing the Republic, played a long and difficult game for his consent in being rejoined with the Lion and the Goat to be the Chimera...and eventually, the Republic was triumphant." Meaning, of course, Sadin.
"Many were instrumental in this triumph, but I would thank especially today, for those involved in this game, Lady Proxy Acting Queen Lucretia IstaNydiam for playing the role of consort for the Republic and being the final piece in sealing the Republic's victory! Lady Proxy Yasha Rissik, for playing the role of consort for the dragon with dignity and for providing the means for the reunification of the Chimera! Dame Urtenia, for organizing players for the game at a moment's notice, and playing a part herself! Princess Tia for bringing the Goat and Sir General Vasyklo for bringing the Lion! And players of the game, Lord Lippio Cyrani, Dame Latta Nesharen, Lord Orestes Rissik, Mes Dania Aurik, Mer Nimizo, Mes Delrosa Gadinik, Mes Kendra Coyote, Mes Zhara Anirik, Lady Nevra Ista Barun, Lord Payudos N'Gadanik and Delegate Karana Keniran!"
He leaves a pause. "More thanks will follow for those who assisted in keeping the parts of the Chimera fed and tended. But for now...let us rejoice in what we have accomplished, restoring one of Zutiv's favored creatures to his natural state."
