This speech was given by Lord Proxy Nydiam on Aug 22, 26 A.U.
It is famous because Lady Proxy Ibania Istabannos was forced to resign her position after declaring herself clan leader. The Clan Council appointed Lord Nydiam in her place, to quell the rebellion. No sooner was he installed then, under the pressures of his sister Zeysani's kidnapping, he did the exact same thing.
Speech Text
Nydiam stands on the stage, in the forum. His voice rings out with contempt, "This goes out to the scum sucking maggot, low-life son-of-a-bitch who thinks that he can get away with kidnapping my sister, the beloved Eagle Clan Leader Zeysani. Son of Kenrikas or whoever you are, do you think by following in his traitorous footsteps that you will take the Cockatrice medallion from me? You are mistaken, you gutless mangy coward, and I look forward to running you through! No matter what rock you are under, I will find you!"
After taking a few moment to regain composure, Nydiam states clearly, "I ask of those Cockatrice who are loyal to me to rally at Sarkaran, where I promise you that I will lead you against this villain who seeks to destroy you, to destroy us all. I will lead you not as Lord Proxy Nydiam, but as Clan Leader Nydiam. This is not a time for half measures. With due respect given to former leaders, Clan Leader Bannos' time is over. The Cockatrice will never be led by Kenrikas' offspring or some charlatan posing to be. Never! I ask that you all unite behind me, and the medallion I proudly wear."
He takes another deep breath, "To the Eagles, I ask they do not see this as naked aggression from the Cockatrice Clan, and I beg you to join forces with me against those forces, who would serve this son of Kenrikas. I do swear that I will see Clan Leader Zeysani returned, and the Cockatrice throne securedOnce and for all. Long live the Cockatrice Clan and Long Live the Repulic!"
