Age: 14
Starting Location: Women's Tea House
Parents: Pevifa Tibenya
Traits:
Clan/Race: Shamibelian
Official Statement
I fail to see how accusing each other is going to accomplish anything, but my mother insists that I keep this official, so my name is Vita Tabitha Tibenya, and I am a bachelorette. In any case, I agree that my step-father's slaves are probably the ones who killed him and will all be executed tonight... even you, poor Emma. I'm going to miss how you polish my nails and horns! So, because I would like to keep you as a stylist, I must point out that the slave whore called Aylina--she hated my step-father. Every time she saw Hralib wearing his new armor, she would scowl at him across the room. Don't deny it, I saw it!
Background
Tabitha is a flighty young woman, who chafes naturally at the limitations of Shamibelian life. As part of the next generation, she feels that some of the old ways are outdated and old-fashioned, and would love to be able to let her hair down more often. She has been the center of a great deal of attention lately as she has come of age and men are looking to her with an eye for marriage, and that is just the way that she likes it. If only they would pay attention to her more often, she would be completely content.
Relationships
- Pevifa -- Tabitha's mother.
- Hralib -- Tabitha's step-father, now deceased.
- Fissia -- Tabitha's aunt on her mother's side.
- Fara -- Tabitha's sister, who was sold into slavery.
- Bivin -- Tabitha's brother, who lives in her house and whose slaves work her land. As is typical in Shamibelian culture, Tabitha is very close to her brother, as he is one of the few men she can be alone with, all her life, without a chaperone.
- Feathyr, Renik -- Bivin's slaves, who Tabitha likes to order around.
- Lainath -- Tabitha's one and only true love! At least until next week.
Goals
- Tabitha should convince her mother, Pevifa, to let her marry Lainath Samiroon now that Hralib is dead.
- Tabitha should find ways to spend time with Lainath properly--she'll need an intermediary.
- Tabitha should have a fight with her sister Fara.
- Tabitha should convince Tatomir that the old rules against talking directly to Shamibelian men who aren't related to you should be relaxed, especially for single women like Tabitha who aren't married and therefore, can only depend on her brother's slaves to attend her.
- Tabitha should persuade men to get their slaves to fight like gladiators for her amusement.
- Tabitha should arrange for a breeding between her brother's slave and some other suitably docile Firan man--one can never have too many slaves.

Tabitha Round One
Round One Reveal
Hashi's wife, Tabitha's aunt, Vitara Fissia Vettle, threatens slaves by telling them that if they don't obey, she'll cut off their fingers and feed them to her husband's dog Spike. Spike is a vicious little thing, who has been trained to kill. What if the dog somehow got away from Aunt Fissia last night, and killed Hralib--after all, wasn't he all scratched up and missing a finger?
Tabitha knows that her mother frequently went to inspect her lands, to make sure they were being cleared properly and to memorize their boundaries. Her being there last night certainly isn't suspicious. Besides, why would her mother kill Hralib when she could have simply invited another man to issue a challenge for her, and then chosen something that Hralib was bad at? It's not hard to get rid of a husband you don't like.
Tabitha knows that Hashi's slave Aylina was bitterly angry every time she saw Hralib wearing his armor.
Tabitha knows that her little brother, Hralib's favorite son, favored Aylina as a whore, and some say he was in love with her. Maybe she was even the last one to see him alive. If Tabitha finds out that Aylina had anything to do with her little brother's disappearance, she'll make her pay.
Round One Conceal
Tabitha wished Hralib dead from the moment he refused to let her marry the man she loved, Lainath.
Tabitha borrowed Yvette's earrings for the Night of Obala's Pride, so she would look extra alluring to Lainath. It's not often that Shamibelian women get to cut loose, but the Night of Obala's pride, the usual social rules are relaxed and you don't even have to wear a burka. Best night of the year!
But Hralib was a spoil-sport. He caught her flirting with Lainath that night, and yelled at her for wearing 'slutty Firan earrings'.
Tabitha knows that Hralib disliked Lainath because he is part-Firan, but to be honest, she finds that a little bit romantic. It sets him apart from other men, and makes him sort of exotic. The fact that her stepfather didn't approve made him all the more appealing.
Tabitha knows that the real reason Pevifa refused to give land to her daughter Fara is because the girl tried to seduce Hralib. Might Pevifa have come to blame Hralib for her estrangement from her daughter, and wanted him dead for it?
Tabitha knows that the rug Hralib's body was found wrapped up in was an old Tibenya heirloom that Pevifa brought with her to Anarinuell after the invasion.
Round One Props
- tokens of her affection to give out to favored men
Tabitha Round Two
Round Two Reveal
Tabitha knows that her mother frequently went to inspect her lands, to make sure they were being cleared properly and to memorize their boundaries. She didn't usually go in the dark, or with a shovel, but there's certainly nothing incriminating about her being on her own plantation.
Tabitha feels certain that Rodiste was not on duty at the catacombs last night--he's a lazy slave, and he often abandons his post.
Hralib never approved of the fact that Hashi's main way of making money was renting out his slavegirls at the brothel. Hralib always thought Hashi should do more raiding and land clearing. The tension between father and son could have caused a fatal confrontation.
Tatomir believed that if he could resurrect someone powerful, like a Shamibelian Governor, he would ensure himself lasting fame and glory with Obala, and would be justly rewarded. What if, infused with the power from recent human sacrifices, he attempted to do just that with Hralib, and it somehow went wrong?
Tabitha suspects that the rug Hralib was found wrapped up in was stolen from Pevifa's house by Malentez or Scithvor during a raid.
Tabitha knows that Forlanis's slave Katriana was very nervous the Night of Obala's Pride, and muttered something about a "bloody" job she had to do.
Throgana convinced Hralib that Sarina was trying to kill him--and that he should sell her to Ruffialo as a gladiatrix. Gladiator slaves have short lifespans. She may have wanted revenge. And maybe she got it by using her friend, Melani.
Tabitha saw Melani give Hralib a vial of dark liquid, just after Fidelia's sacrifice on the Night of Obala's Pride.
Tabitha knows that some of the Firan priests like Aldrin and Torianos still cling to their sinful pantheistic faith--they're complete zealots who would have shown no compunction about murdering Hralib for his supposed 'offenses': converting the Firan Temples into a group of mansions for his women.
Round Two Conceal
Tabitha took off the earrings Yvette loaned her when, on the Night of Obala's Pride, Hralib chastised her for flirting with Lainath, and demanded that she take off her slutty Firan earrings. Hralib confiscated them, so that's how they ended up in his pocket. She certainly didn't put them there!
Hralib forbid Lainath from marrying any of his step-daughters, because Lainath is a quarterbreed. Tabitha worries that Lainath might have done something rash, because Lainath acts particularly violently towards those who discriminate against him.
Tabitha remembers that Lainath was watching Hralib all night during the party, and that when he saw Hralib slip out with Throgana, he followed.
When Tabitha saw Lainath slip out to follow Hralib and Throgana, she followed. Hralib and Throgana went towards the Great Library, and Tabitha convinced Lainath to go with her to the catacombs, where she hoped they could be alone.
Tabitha and Lainath know that Rodiste was supposed to be guarding the catacombs the Night of Obala's pride, but when they snuck off to be together, he was not on duty.
Although Tabitha loves Lainath, she wonders sometimes if he's really committed to her. If he killed Hralib to be with her, that would certainly be proof of his devotion, but she cannot be sure he did.
Tabitha feels terrible for her sister, Fara, and when she gets enough land, she's going to give her some, and free her. But in the meantime, her sister's claim to freedom is strengthened if she bears a full-Shamibelian child. So, Fara and Bivin concocted a plan to sleep together the Night of Obala's Pride, in masks.
Tabitha thinks that incest is beneath her brother and sister, so she intervened. She convinced Bivin that he looked stupid in a griffon mask and had him switch with another man. Unfortunately, Tabitha fears that he switched with his slave Renik and that Fara mistook the slave for Bivin and may have done the deed with the wrong man. Oops!
Round Two Props
Round Two Additional Goals
- Try to find someone who can make a fertility potion for Fara.
- Find a Shamibelian man who will sleep with Fara to get her pregnant -- other than Bivin
- Tabitha should try to find a way to get her sister Fara out of slavery.
- Set Lainath to some task he can carry out to prove his love for her.
- Make a show of considering other men as husbands to make Lainath jealous.

Round Three Conceal
Some of the bloom has definitely come off the rose with regard to Lainath now that Hralib is gone. Some of his appeal was that Hralib didn't like him, and now with Hralib gone, he is starting to look like a normal man again. Maybe Tabitha should think a little more about her decision to marry him.
Round Three Props
Round Three Additional Goals
- Stop random slaves and demand to see their permits -- it promotes security and prevents Firan terrorism
- Break up with Lainath.
