Tackleball League Rules
From FiranMUX
- Game Rules
- League games will run under standard tackleball rules (as found at Tackleball).
- Penalties will be awarded for timewasting (more than 2 minutes to @check), deliberate foul (using a lower difficulty for a @check), dissent and unsportsmanlike conduct (using the wrong stats for a @check).
- All league games will take place at Griffon Park (-11,7), the Royal Amphitheatre (-3,1), or another field agreed by both teams.
- Players and Teams
- Each team is to consist of up to six (6) players, with three (3) playing at any one time.
- Each team must submit their team name and player names to the organiser of the league before the season begins.
- At any point during the game a player without the ball may be substituted for another member of the team. Once a player has been substituted off the field, they may play no further part in the match.
- Teams must field at least three (3) players for any league game. Should a player be injured (or disconnect) with no suitable substitute (or all substitutes already used), 30 points are awarded to the other team and the game immediately ends.
- Half-breeds, pregnant women and infants (child objects) are not permitted to play.
- Should a player be unavailable to play for the team due to pregnancy, death, duty to the Republic (or rostering), the team may replace that player with another, within reason. The league organiser should be appraised of the replacement, the reason for their replacement, and has the final say on allowing a replacement player to any team.
- Arranging Games
- Every two weeks, the organiser of the league will post up which teams are to play which teams.
- It is the responsibility of the teams to arrange a time to play their scheduled game within the space of those two weeks, if possible with an impartial referee.
- If two teams fail to play their match during the allotted two weeks, both teams will be deemed to have lost the game 0-0 for the purposes of the league table, unless a time is agreed and only one team is able to field a team. The team who were unable to field three players will be deemed to have lost the game 30-0.
- Results and League Points
- It is the responsibility of the teams to inform the organiser of the league of their results at the conclusion of a game, including both the score and how many tries, penalties, conversions and drop goals the players scored for the purposes of individual player statistics.
- Any query or argument over the scores or statistics for a match will result in both teams being deemed to have lost the game 0-0 for the purposes of the league table.
- A win nets a team four (4) points, a draw two (2) points, and a loss zero (0) points.
- In addition, any team scoring at least four (4) tries in a match will get a bonus point, and any losing team whose score is seven or fewer points behind the winning team will get a bonus point.
- When every team has played every other team once, the winner of the league is the team with the most points. If there is a tie, the team who has scored the most points compared to the points conceded will be deemed the winner. If there is still a tie, the teams who are tied will play a single further match to determine the winner.
- Disclaimer
- The organiser of the league reserves the right to disqualify any team breaking these rules, or judged to be participating in unsportsmanlike behaviour.
