TEDDI (Formerly Dilarik)

Mes Teddi Dilarik was born a member of a respected middle class family that long served the Bear nobility. She was a servant for the Teranzik family herself, Lady Mauvia Teranzik's personal servant. Rumor has always told that it is because of one of the Teranzik boys that Teddi ended up a whore, working at the White Dove, after a trip where Lady Mauvia did not bring Teddi along with her, and her long career began.

Teddi was more than just a simple whore. Her infectious smile and warm laugh quickly made her one of the most popular girls at the Dove and her distinctive coloring earned her the nickname of "the Golden Dove." Her clients included clan leaders, generals, and other men of prominence. Each man she became involved with seemed infatuated with her. In time, she moved from being a simple Dove to achieving the status of courtesan . Her achievement was not limited, however, to the arms she was seen on or the beds she frequented. Her skill, energy, and wit won her several positions where she hosted sports and entertainments and even a prestigious position of in planning the Festival one year. By all accounts, she excelled in every endeavor she attempted.

After the air raids of 24 A.U., she was, for reasons that are not widely known, made a member of the Ticanee clan and stripped of her last name. Early in 25 A.U., Mes Teddi was accused of treason against the Ticanee Throne, causing a hunt for her that spanned clans and cities. She was located in Lurashar and put to death - a traitor's death. Her head was placed on a pike outside the Ticanee mansion, and her body parts buried far apart so that her soul would travel no more.

Why Teddi turned against the Ticanne Throne remains a mystery today. Some say that she had become infected with the water sickness. Others say that she had grown jealous of the many women who shared Lord Taleo's affections, and, in dark corners of bawdy taverns, a tragic tale is told of a whore who dared to love life a little too much. But men tell many tales when the drink, and women, are too easy.
