[Public] Professor Amber notes as she was delayed at work, Theme Hour will be starting 5-10 minutes later. [Public] Professor Amber eats that r. [Public] Petula has joined this channel. [Public] Corpse of Moyanik has joined this channel. [Public] Laurelia has joined this channel. [Public] Daemio has joined this channel. [Public] Shelly says, "Hi guys! Are you all ready for the Eagle Clan Theme Hour?" [Public] Furen says, "Quite!" [Public] Kelarik says, "Oh yeah." [Public] Chef Morimoto as Ocarian cheers. [Public] Laurelia pours out her wine and puts up her feet. Yep! [Public] Dalinuel has an ale ready [Public] Corpse of Audentus needs to drink a bit more first! [Public] Smoochey Ianootz has left this channel. [Public] Daemio cheers for eagles [Public] Shelly says, "I'll be kicking the theme hour off today, and then Amber will pop in and answer all your questions." [Public] Riyad says, "Theme hour?" [Public] Riyad sweet. I didn't know we had one tonight! [Public] Jon says, "Eagles: They work hard, and they play hard." [Public] Daemio says, "Eagles tonight" [Public] Jericho has joined this channel. [Public] Yaffros has joined this channel. [Public] Shelly says, "The Eagle clan (according to the Eagle clan, anyway), considers itself enlightened. To an extent, they are. Eagles are moving towards freedom, tolerance and openness faster than the other clans. However, many other clans would not call the Eagles 'enlightened'. In the eyes of more traditional clans, Eagles are lax beyond justification, do not enforce social difference enough, and could probably do with a bit more work and a bit less drinking. The Eagle clan, however, is also very successful. A wealthy clan, the Eagles are known for trade (especially across the rivers) and an impressive navy." [Public] Shelly says, "The truth is, the Eagle clan is not so radically different from other clans as it may sometimes seem. They still have immense respect for their nobles and leaders; they still get work done, even though they also enjoy wine and partying on the side; they still have many of the same prejudices (haffies, boo! twins, boo!). But, they are thinkers. Under the leadership of Darimon, they flourished into a religiously and culturally diverse clan, and since then have been contemplating ideas such as liberty, rights and perfectability." [Public] Rabianos has joined this channel. [Public] Shelly says, "In more recent history, the Eagles have been entrenched in conflict. In 33 A.U., war broke out between the Eagle clan and their old enemies, the Hydrans. This was more than just a war, though -- it was a war that claimed Clan Leader Zeysani's life. Since then, the tension between the Hydra clan and the Eagle clan has diminished, but remains a present force nonetheless. Eagles are not willing to forgive so quickly." [Public] Shelly says, "I'm going to open this up to questions, now. Do you have any? Ask 'em!" [Public] Zaridos has joined this channel. [Public] Professor Amber says, "And the morale of tonight's Theme Hour is: next time you run into an office two minutes before it closes and demand the employee there fill out these forms and fax them for you /right/ now, stop and think whether she is secretly a hard-working Firan wiz who needs to get home to run Theme Hours and make players happy." [Public] Professor Amber says, "Thank you, Shelly! Questions? :)" [Public] Riyad grins and snugs Amber. [Public] Zaridos has a form that needs faxing ASAP! [Public] Jericho says, "Could you define a Firan's thinking of liberty? Shelly? To see how Eagles think as opposed to the other clans?" [Public] Riyad does have a question, actually. What's the connection between Lurashar and Anarinuell, as far as city relations go? [Public] Daemio is often reminded by older players that the eagles under Zeysani aren't the way the Eagles were under Eve and previous leaders. Zeysani was pretty strict and traditional in comparison to other previous leaders. So now we see a strange strict leadership meeting liberal minded people... like Zaridos and Ania even have made some strict judgements since their mother's death. How do the Eagle clan continue to maintain their liberal mind set while having not so liberal leadership? [Public] Daemio says, "Also you pointed out that they're all 'Twins bad' how do the eagle clan view Zeysani/Nydiam and now Zaridos/Lianos?" [Public] Riyad says, "Man. Everyone else's question is better than mine. :p" [Public] Professor Amber smites Zaridos. There. :) [Public] Jericho says, "Woo." [Public] Zaridos smoted. :( [Public] Lisa says, "Lurashar is the capital city of Eagle Lands. It's where the Eagle Palace is located." [Public] Joey has joined this channel. [Public] Lisa says, "And likely where the Royal family would live if there was no Republic and they didn't all live in Anarinuell :)" [Public] Rinzik says, "You said they are moving toward freedom, tolerance, and openness. Obviously, they aren't there yet! It's pretty easy to slip into more modern mindsets in a clan that is touted as being progressive, so where are they, exactly? What are Eagle attitudes toward women, gender roles, classes, whoring, et cetera, et cetera?" [Public] Professor Amber tries to answer a bunch of similiar questions in one go. :) [Public] Daemio says, "sorry I sort of clumped two there!" [Public] Professor Amber says, "As Rinzik pointed out, the Eagles are liberal and egalitarian -- relatively. They're not by a modern sense. They still have traditional attitudes towards haffies, for instance, and they do respect the class structure to a certain degree. They're not trying to overthrow their nobles, but they do think the people should have a greater degree of say in their governance. They also have a broad idea of equality among the sexes, in comparison to many clans that prefer one gender or the other." [Public] Professor Amber says, "They're beginning to make noises about elections. They were appeased by having Ishani -- who is also a delegate, and thus elected -- appointed proxy, so in a roundabout way they have an elected proxy." [Public] Professor Amber says, "As for the liberal people vs. conservative leadership -- the Eagles have had a liberal mindset for a long, long time. They're not going to alter radically as the result of one leader, like the GDs won't stop craving conquest if they had one peaceful leader. Zeysani commanded their respect, and they loved her, but that doesn't mean they changed cultural viewpoints." [Public] Professor Amber says, "And whores? Eagles /love/ whores." [Public] Riyad seconds that! [Public] Jericho chuckles. [Public] Professor Amber says, "An Eagle man is not going to take a whore home to meet his mom, but they have a more accepting attitude towards whores than most other clans. And the Honorias are a source of national pride." [Public] Jericho has a question about the Navy, Eagle I guess, but general for all the clans. How advance is the navy, in restrospect to RL navies. Past ones, not modern ones. [Public] Jon says, "Borik says, "My whore, she is number four prostitute in all of Anarinuell!"" [Public] Jericho says, "Are we puttering around in Trimeres or Carracks." [Public] Riyad snorts at Jon [Public] Jalil has joined this channel. [Public] Daemio nods but how do they mitigate that. The eagle clan more then most others has seemed to be full of contradictions to me. Twins are bad... but we're lead by twins (and a twin who married a twin and had twins!). Or We believe in freedom to speak ... but we have a proxy/prince/heir who might kill you or make you very sorry if you speak freely about the wrong thing. [Public] Ladonna has joined this channel. [Public] Professor Amber says, "Firans are still in the age of the oar, generally equivalent to the Greeks. They have shallow-keeled boats driven by oars and square sails; they don't use tar; they can't navigate beyond coastline sailing." [Public] Jericho says, "So no rutters?" [Public] Zaridos says, "As far as ship types, I've been told that we generally use biremes, with the occasionally trireme as 'capital ships'." [Public] Zaridos says, "And flat-bottom barge-esque ferries." [Public] Jericho nodnods. [Public] Rinzik says, "How do they feel about social mobility? They've got a fair share of neos." [Public] Professor Amber says, "In general, Firan culture is full of contradictions -- it's subjective, not set in stone. Most of the twins in the nobility were kept because Elianos or Sabine vouched for them -- and they had the sort of social clout that would make people accept it, even if they were very unhappy about it. The only time twins have been kept since the Heroes left ended up in a civil war." [Public] Daemon Daemio nods. I was suprised Lianos' return didn't cause more of an uproar. [Public] Laurelia has a question about Eagle leadership. Eve wasn't a direct heir of Darimon; is there any residual suspicion/questioning of the current line because of that? [Public] Professor Amber says, "She was the only heir of the royal line left. It's not really called into question because of the way Firan inheritance works...other members of the royal line generally have a valid claim to the throne, if not quite as strong as the current leader's children." [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "IIRC Eve initially said Zeysani would never lead the Eagles. And that's a point in history a lot of us players don't know too much about. Something about Zeysani making Nydiam walk down the street in chains?" [Public] Professor Amber says, "So, in other words, no." [Public] Laurelia okay! Thanks.;) [Public] Girl Jamie has left this channel. [Public] Professor Amber says, "The Eagle Civil War ended when Zeysani publicly appeared with her brother in chains and declared herself CL." [Public] Riyad has never heard this story. [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "Can you tell us more about that period in clan history?" [Public] Lisa says, "This is a rather famous story. It was right after Nydiam announced his first set of children, plural, as twins, as a proud father, and the Eagle Clan reacted very, very badly." [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "Nyds was CL of the Eagles at this time right?" [Public] Lisa says, "Right. Typing too :)" [Public] Lisa says, "He asked them all to go to the Great Hall of the Eagle for his announcement, proudly made a speech about his children, and what happened afterwards was pure pandamomium. The Eagle Clans literally, almost instantly, went into riots and the District into lockdown. During the pandamonium, there was an attack on the Eagle Mansion where his children were being kept, and one of them was killed. Afterwards, Nydiam declared that every family in the Eagle Clan had to offer up their first born babies each year for a lottery where one of those children wouldbe summarily sacrificed in light of his losing his own child. That didn't go over too well either." [Public] Daemon Daemio shushs for the story :) [Public] Tyrsun remembers this, vaguely. :) [Public] Lisa says, "Eventually, Zeysani captured Nydiam and put him in chains, declaring herself Clan Leader. There's more to it than that, but this is what I remember from my personal experience with my Eagle alt :)" [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "why did Eve favor Nydiam over Zeysani or is that not publically known?" [Public] Jon says, "And then Nydiam was forgotten forever, disgraced and unable to enter politics. Oh wait. ;)" [Public] Riyad says, "If only, Jon. :)" [Public] Marthin has left this channel. [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "Apparently the CC throught the 'kill the first born' guy was an improvement on Ibania. but that was another theme hour." [Public] Professor Amber says, "That is not publicly known, no, Daemio. Although people can speculate." [Public] Daemon Daemio nods. Awesome I must AFK now thank you for answering my myrid of questions! [Public] Lisa says, "After that, Nydiam was labelled, Nydiam the Black :)" [Public] Professor Amber says, "Also, for an amusing fact? The Eagle Civil War was timestopped after the baby lottery for FC. :)" [Public] Ladonna says, "Hee!" [Public] Professor Amber says, "Nydiam's player wandered around the Con, jovially wondering if he'd blown up the game." [Public] Professor Amber says, "That was my first FC, too. :)" [Public] Jericho laughs. [Public] Lisa grins. [Public] Riyad ha! [Public] Ladonna says, "Hahaha! ha!" [Public] Professor Amber says, "And if you've met Nydiam's player, you'd know 'jovial' is exactly the right word for him. Anyway... :)" [Public] Ladonna says, "It is. :P" [Public] Jalil says, "Nydiam is like the Ghost of Christmas Past." [Public] Professor Amber says, "He is!" [Public] Professor Amber says, "Er. OOCly." [Public] Jalil says, "He needs to walk around wearing a white toga with a wreath on his head." [Public] Jericho says, "And a wine goblet?" [Public] Riyad says, "For some reason, that reminds me of George Hamilton. Is he anything like that guy?" [Public] Jalil says, "Not in the least." [Public] Zaridos says, "How do the Eagles define liberty? Is it defined as it was in the 17th century (personal physical freedom) or is it more of an sense of economic liberty (lassez-faire) (freedom to learn a trade, freedom to engage in the trade of your choice, freedom of trade, commerce, etc.) as well as other ideas of liberty?" [Public] Jericho says, "Yeah what do Eagles feel about the heavy Tax?" [Public] Professor Amber says, "That's a very good question, Zaridos, and actually after thinking about it for a bit, I'd like to send it up to Steph, who isn't about at the moment." [Public] Zaridos nods, "Okay. :)" [Public] Professor Amber says, "Mostly because I think it's a very important question to get right. :)" [Public] Orfi icks as she realizes she's missed most of theme hour [Public] The One True Gondarus says, "Is it known, the origins of the Hydra-Eagle hatered, or is it merely a product of the extreme cultural differences?" [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "both?" [Public] Joey says, "They live near to each other, too." [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "the whores are right across the river from the zealots" [Public] The One True Gondarus smiles. [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "isn't that right? Lurasher's like right across or just down the river from Arinzi?" [Public] Joey says, "They are near to each other, yes." [Public] "Rainbow" Randolph Smiley Javier says, "And we have the city of bling-bling gemstones right across from the Eagles. :P" [Public] Ladonna says, ""news arinzi"" [Public] "Rainbow" Randolph Smiley Javier says, "news emsish / news Luragadin" [Public] Orfi thought the problems started with a certain handsome prince recently [Public] Jericho says, "Zaridos? Handsome?" [Public] Jericho hides. [Public] Ladonna says, "Hydra/Eagle relations have been strained for a long, long time." [Public] Professor Amber says, "They're historical adversaries." [Public] Professor Amber says, "And, yes, being across the river from each other...hasn't exactly endeared them to each other." [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "Zeysani's death was the straw that broke the camel's back and provided a reason for them to be made more open." [Public] Jericho says, "Like England and France." [Public] Chef Morimoto as Ocarian says, "There is a map that shows how close the cities are, Daemio." [Public] Chef Morimoto as Ocarian says, "http://firan.legendary.org/index.php/Image:Newmap.jpg" [Public] Joey says, "Plus, you have the Tanelishes who are Eagles, and the N'Gadaniks, who are Hydra, and their feud has, at times, been quite intense." [Public] The One True Gondarus says, "But so, there isn't a single event that precipitated this deep adversity? From the answers, it seems to me nothing in particular begun this." [Public] The One True Gondarus says, "Besides the way the Clans are set up geographically and culturally." [Public] Professor Amber says, "It's a cultural conflict. There wasn't one event that started it, no." [Public] Riyad thinks the Hydrans are just jealous they can't have whores. [Public] Riyad shushes now. :) [Public] Joey says, "Monotheism probably didn't help." [Public] Jericho says, "Or drink." [Public] The One True Gondarus nods. Thanks. [Public] Chef Morimoto as Ocarian says, "The Hydrans drank up until four years ago." [Public] Jericho says, "Really?" [Public] Yaffros says, "Yep! The Warrior Code is fairly new." [Public] Chef Morimoto as Ocarian says, "It was the warrior code that caused it, Jericho." [Public] Jericho says, "Oh, interesting." [Public] Joey says, "Yes, but Hydrans have always been rather staid and disapproving of vice." [Public] Chef Morimoto as Ocarian sagenods to Joey. [Public] Joey says, "But this is about the Eagles!" [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "well old new... apparently the code's old and refound" [Public] The One True Gondarus fully expects 'The Whore Code' across the river. More flaunting, more debauchery. [Public] "Rainbow" Randolph Smiley Javier says, "You know what they say Hydrans are from planet Vulcan, Eagles are from planet Risa." [Public] Riyad is slightly interested in the Eagle's apparent fascination with bright coloring. That and...Magenta. [Public] Riyad says, "Is there any meaning behind the clan colors?" [Public] Jericho says, "Men are from Omicron PErsi 6... Women are from Omicron Persi 7...." [Public] Professor Amber says, "Eagles are..flamboyant." [Public] Professor Amber says, "Eagles, in general, like the good things in life. Food, wine, sex, bright colours... they're indulgent." [Public] Yaffros says, "Magenta all the sweet way." [Public] Jericho says, "While Hydrans are the exact opposite." [Public] Jericho says, "Eagle is.. Athens. Hydra is... Sparta." [Public] Jericho says, "Hated enemies, two different beliefs. yadayada yada.." [Public] Daemon Daemio liked the French and English comparisson [Public] Riyad did too. So. Which is which? :) [Public] Jericho says, "Eagle is England, Hydrans are French." [Public] Professor Amber thinks it'd be the other way around. :) [Public] Jericho says, "Depends what time period you look at I guess." [Public] Orfi says, "the Eagles are definately French" [Public] Jericho says, "Cause technically, England is Norman, which is French.." [Public] Jericho says, "I love history =P" [Public] The One True Gondarus says, "No way. The French are as flamboyant as can be. ;) Their kings actually wore magenta, and prefered boys to women." [Public] Professor Amber nods to Orfi. The ones who love the good life vs. those are somewhat anal retentive. [Public] Jericho says, "Politically wise, France was heavy on absolutism." [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "More like the good life vs the pious life." [Public] Orfi grins "Hydrans are England under Cromwell." [Public] The One True Gondarus says, "Or Rome under Augustus." [Public] Jericho says, "Nice one Orfi." [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "but! Eagles... Zin's their main man right speaking of religion?" [Public] Jericho says, "No, Eagles are Pagans, mostly, they have no one god.." [Public] Jericho says, "Right..?" [Public] Professor Amber says, "Zin's the most popular Eagle god, yeah. It's the water thing." [Public] Riyad says, "Water=wine. *nod.*" [Public] Jericho says, "Hm." [Public] Jericho says, "Elik=Wine." [Public] Jericho says, "==P" [Public] Professor Amber says, "Most of the polytheistic clans have a god that is more popular than others within the clan, Jericho." [Public] Professor Amber was thinking of the navy. :) [Public] Orfi says, "wasn't Zarid Zin's son?" [Public] Jericho says, "I did not know that." [Public] Professor Amber says, "Or gods." [Public] Ladonna says, "He's not our -only- one, of course. ...If you peek at "news cockatrice clan2", it shows a lil of what Amber's talking about." [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "that's the rumor Orfi!" [Public] Daemon Daemio thinks some people refute it. [Public] Professor Amber nods to Orfi. It was rumoured he was Zin's son, too. Whether or not you would think that ICly is up to you -- like whether you believe Selene is married to Elik. [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "wasn't Zarid a commoner (though I think child of god trumps nobility but still..)" [Public] Professor Amber says, "Yes. He was." [Public] Orfi says, "it doesn't matter if /I/ think it. My clan leader belives it and one doesn't argue with a clan leader." [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "and Zeysani/Nydiam were younger than Quonasi?" [Public] Professor Amber says, "Yes." [Public] Daemon Daemio find it intresting that news Zarid says people favored Nyd and Zey despite them being twins. BUt that's probably the whole god blood thing I would take it? [Public] Professor Amber says, "Not necessarily, Daemio. They were the only heirs of royal Eagle blood at the time. That's enough to make people dote on them." [Public] Orfi thinks most of the twin hatred is much newer. [Public] Daemon Daemio nods gotcha. [Public] Jericho has left this channel. [Public] Professor Amber says, "No, the twin taboo is very, very old." [Public] The One True Gondarus thinks it would be cool if twins were a part of birth rolls. [Public] Orfi has heard they are, Gondarus [Public] Vasyklo says, "Old as Eesha and Drik!" [Public] The One True Gondarus says, "Ooo." [Public] Orfi wouldn't know as I've not had a char here in over a year of playing to ever be preggers. [Public] Professor Amber says, "We account for twins. We just won't tell you how. :)" [Public] Orfi says, "Anyways, back to the Eagles. Why magenta?" [Public] Kelarik says, "Because it's bright, Orfi." [Public] Zellonos says, "Because magenta is -Fabulous-." [Public] Rabianos says, "It doesn't stain as bad as white when you spill wine on it." [Public] Riyad says, "I'm sorry if I missed this..I'm drowning in spammage. Do the Eagle colors of Magenta and Yellow have any meaning?" [Public] Kelarik cuts n' pastes the answer from earlier, Riyad - one sec. [Public] The One True Gondarus says, "Their Clan colors are the colors of their ruling house." [Public] Kelarik says, "[Public] Professor Amber says, "Eagles are..flamboyant." [Public] Professor Amber says, "Eagles, in general, like the good things in life. Food, wine, sex, bright colours... they're indulgent."" [Public] Professor Amber says, "That's as much significance as any of the clan colours have, yes, Gondarus." [Public] Riyad says, "Ahh." [Public] The One True Gondarus says, "Are the Eagles the most Democratic of the clans?" [Public] Rinzik says, "I asked a question a while ago that I didn't really see answered, but maybe it was folded into something else: how are they for social mobility? They've got the Tanelish, then the neo branch of the Iberiks, and then Yaffros married Deelia (were you drunk, Yaffros?)-- Etc." [Public] Yaffros says, "Yaffros and Deelia. Ah, the great mysteries." [Public] Mahir says, "A lot of Mondariks ended up noble too." [Public] Rinzik nods at Mahir. [Public] Professor Amber says, "In comparison to the other clans, yes, Gondarus. Not so much by our standards." [Public] Professor Amber says, "As for social mobility, you might find them more forgiving of neo nobility than other clans. However, they haven't shed belief in old blood yet, and are still going to rank an old blood family above a neo." [Public] Daemon Daemio thinks they have more common born nobles than any other clan (now that the Rissiks are demoted) [Public] Lisa says, "and Yaffros married Deelia because the Iberik family was almost done and gone. It was a matter of survivability after the Great war and most of the Iberiks were captured or killed." [Public] Yaffros says, "Quite sensible in that context. Blood is important. Having children at all is more important." [Public] Lisa says, "THe Eagles, when they riot, are also sometimes the creators of new fashion trends. There have been two pieces of jewelry that were used to commemorate their displeasure of leaders when they rioted. The first was when Ibania had been caught kissing a commoner and was divorced from Nydiam. At that time, naked Ibania brooches were seen flowing about the city. The second was when Eve was killed by Judanarius's mistress, and the Eagle Clan was in an uproar. That time they created Hanging Judanarius brooches, to show how upset they were, and wore then publically and openly." [Public] Vasyklo says, "Let's not forget Draugik bobble heads." [Public] Rinzik says, "Hahah. Eagles." [Public] Riyad says, "Artistic shunning." [Public] The One True Gondarus wants a naked Ibania brooch. [Public] Orfi likes that :) [Public] Lisa thinks quite a few of those brooches still linger ICly :) [Public] Orfi says, "that's a good way to show your displeasure. :)" [Public] Professor Amber says, "If you have to protest, at least do it with style!" [Public] Lisa grins. and the Eagles do! [Public] Riyad says, "Which reminds me. For an Eagle, I'm alarmingly short on bling." [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "Hmn. Anyone ever discussed the benefit of using a whip in combat?" [Public] The One True Gondarus says, "When upset with their leaders, the Bears have tea, the Dragons take cities, the Hydra beat their women, the Eagles make brooches." [Public] Ladonna says, "You -weren't-, Riyad. But you got rid of fuzzy ducks!" [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "You forgot drinking. >>" [Public] The One True Gondarus grins. That too. [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "the Chimera give them a second chance, and the Ticanee... Err..." [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "I dunno. Die?" [Public] The Narrator, Deelia hides [Public] The One True Gondarus says, "They get spinyfished." [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "Ouch." [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "Nasty thing, that. Imagine RPing it. Oi vey." [Public] The One True Gondarus says, "And the Cockatrice drink molten gold." [Public] Petula says, "So, in following the conversation right now, each clan has some basic stereotypes. Is there "more" to the Eagle Clan than the drinking and bright clothing? :) I mean, the answer is yes, I'm sure, but I'm asking... Well, hrm. I've walked the district and seen a lot of closed things or underused (IMO) places. I understand this is sometimes just an issue with rostered characters, but I'm just kind of wondering more about the played history of the clan." [Public] Chef Morimoto as Ocarian says, "Eating fabulously rich foods!" [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "Petula, we don't actually have enough characters <In any clan really... Especiall Chimera now.> To do the sort of things that should be done to honour heritage ect." [Public] The One True Gondarus says, "They're the Naval superpower of Firan." [Public] Petula says, "Are there traditions that have maybe been underplayed, that the players could possibly rediscover?" [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "It's the old ideal of 'give me more players.'" [Public] Ladonna says, "There are tons of active PCs around, Petula. :) Not to fear." [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "Probably" [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "Traditions you can make up, too." [Public] Petula steeples her fingers. "Excellent." [Public] The Narrator, Deelia tried, admittedly. Failed before it got too far, and that became expensive. [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "Either verify it with Admin and make CP off it, or start it entirely IC." [Public] Professor Amber says, "Hedonism, drinking, whores, bright colours, calls for democracy, feuding with the Hydra..." [Public] Rinzik says, "The Soaring Eagle is getting used more, especially with the hub thing, and Riyad and (formerly Ladonna) making use of it for events. There were the freedom nights, too." [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "Bear in mind, that the consequencss can be dire... For all involved." [Public] Rinzik says, "Those died off with Lana, though. Someone revive them!" [Public] Orfi blinks "Make up traditions? My word!" *quietens her Triceness* [Public] Rinzik says, "Er, Lena." [Public] Ladonna says, "They died off with Lena." [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "Mmn. I found out I'm the Morale minister." [Public] Riyad sniiiiiiiifle for Lena. [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "Expect parties." [Public] The One True Gondarus says, "Morale never had to be Moral." [Public] Riyad nods. I think the Eagles are famous for their rather fantastic parties (that EVERYONE wants to be invited to) and I'm using Riyad to try to re-establish that. [Public] "Rainbow" Randolph Smiley Javier says, "Moral Oral!" [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "We're eagles. Our Morale and our Morales are all about drinking." [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "And parties." [Public] Riyad fwaps Jamie. :p [Public] Ladonna says, "Whoring is big, too. And discussing freedom." [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "Sorta like, after war season. "I know we've all lost loved ones. So here, have whiskey."" [Public] Ladonna says, "...which Amber so totally said. :P I'm slow." [Public] Petula says, "I was hoping to clean this log up and toss some things on the forum threads. I was reading about block parties but the last post was in 2003, if I recall correctly. :)" [Public] Zaridos says, "offreceive messages" [Public] Zaridos has left this channel. [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "Mmn. I need to talk to Staff or a higher up Eagle to see if I can actually host wild parties. May not be seemly, you know..." [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "The more you play, the less you realise you know." [Public] Riyad says, "But the more you learn!" [Public] Jalil says, "We've had orgies on Firan!" [Public] Professor Amber says, "One of Jalil's bright memories!" [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "Noble organised?" [Public] Daemon Daemio says, "the Ticanee have bonfires some times!" [Public] Jalil says, "There are so few. :(" [Public] Riyad says, "We have? MAAAAN. I need to finish my construction so I can do that!" [Public] The Narrator, Deelia says, "Like I said. Not for Nobles to organise / attend insofar as I remember." [Public] Ladonna says, "Masks are your friends." [Public] Professor Amber says, "Not for noble/women/ to attend."
