As the Spring Festival wound to a close, many Ticanee made a spectacular showing. Ikshu took first in Dodgeball. Terpsika, not to be outdone, took first in ranged archery, and event run by our own Lord Radik and the Oshta's Lord Taleo. Alexa even made a brief appearance at the doll making competition, winning most realistic. The fine looking team of Ixion and Ikshu took second in the Ironman Competition, and Mother Urtenia took first in the Egg Battle Royale, Ikshu taking second in that as well as second in the Mounted Joust. And Primo endured much pummelling to take third in the Boxing competition.

Of course, the end of the festival is never a peaceful event anyore as two marriage prizes were handed out. Where Junia's marriage to Pertinax should have outshone them all, Draugik's decision to marry into nobility set the city on its ear. The Ticanee's view of it? Hah! And they thought it was bad when Vahlon married Inaya? Feh. Stupid Firans. (Stupid haffie, too, but hey. Firans are more fun to dog.)

Urtenia held a storytelling event in the district, though with all the preparations for the war, many were rather distracted, though Ghali and Nimiker did not fail to bring Tehya along to indoctrinate more Ticanee culture into their daughter.

War season approaches, and many Ticanee prepare to leave family behind to defend the city and keep the damned goats back where they belong. Those left behind prepare to pray for their safe and swift return home alive.
