The Oshta was kidnapped, or so it was reported. It seems a few guards decided to run an unscheduled and unauthorized drill. All guards are forewarned; any more drills without the direct permission of Captain Nimiker or higher will result in whipping and/or spiny fishing.
Mes Terpsika has been busy of late, it seems she is now officially part of the militia. She has been seen on regular patrols and gate duty. Add that to getting her horse breeding back up and running, it will be a miracle should she ever get pregnant again.
Speaking of horses, did you hear, Lord Radik gave Ulrik a young mare. It might be the only young mare Ulrik will ever get again. Also Ghali was given a fine, spirited stallion for her birthday. She likes her horses like she likes her men, big, fiery and feisty. Terpsika lets word out that this fall she will have three more mares for sale when they are old enough, sorry no stallions.
Word begins to spread around the district... Hadiya (the jeweler and glassmaker) has cleaned out her corner of the shelves at the Dalus Anvil, and departed. If asked, she says that she may take requests for work, on a /very/ occasional basis, from clan members, but she is stepping back from crafting. They say she has joined the army. It's a little unclear where... Ticanee or Republic? Support or Archers? Recon is even mentioned. A rumor also travels that she beat up a noble, knocking him out, or something. Is trouble part of this equation somewhere?
Urtenia's 50th birthday was recently celebrated at a bonfire party. There were quite a few people in attendance, and the old priestess had a grand time. She was even given a tent(ing) by Lord Shaman Radik.
Mother Urtenia has been seen around recently in the best and cheeriest mood anyone's seen her in in /years/. At first it was thought it was from Lord Radik's birthday present, but then when its noticed the same look isn't on Lady Kerasha's face one can tell its not that. Anyone who asks her why hears the same story: as she was finishing prayers one day at the Ticanee Temple, the god Elik manifested himself. He thanked her for her gifts, said that the loincloth that Ghali made which Urtenia offered was inspired, and apologized to Urtenia for missing her birthday party. He then kissed her on the cheek, wished her a belated happy birthday, and gave her a beautiful enameled silver ring, which she's more than happy to show off.
Inut seen moving out of the Coyote home into old Ravenseye home, now his own. Inut makes point of commenting to new neighbors that he feels it is a more appropriate and fitting home for him as he is still a bachelor and not married.
As a reminder, Ekenon is still the Master Trainer for the Ticanee people and those lacking the needed skills should see him at their soonest convenience. He has obtained Agarn's old training facility, and new weapons for patrons to train with. It is a reminder that /all/ Ticanee patrons are to be prepared should the Shami's try to devastate us again...this time around we will /not/ be taken without a fight.
There is a cheer about the district as Lord Primo spearheaded the rebuilding of the Ticanee stables. It is even rumored he paid for it out of his own pocket.
Zhara Anirik once again has been seen walking around glumly sans her armor and weapons. Reports say that her mother has given her specific tasks to complete before she'll be allowed to wear them again. One might wonder why the little girl is being punished. Or perhaps its not a punishment but just a lesson that needs to be learned. If you see her, be sure to tease her a lot, of if you are nice ask her to spar.
There has been some new construction going on near the Wolfhawke house. The ground has been dug up, measurements have been taken and it appears the beginnings of a new house are underway. Now the only questions is who it belongs to, its it a Ticanee, a Drikist or maybe an uppity Firan that thinks they are good enough to live in the district.

Also I wish to apologize for not getting a newsletter out of late. I have rostered one alt and should have more time to focus on things here. If there are things you would like to see in the newletter or even some plots you might want to see done and want some help, just let me know.
Praises for the week: Taria for kicking the butt of her stupid guards, Alexa for her quick response to things and heading up the Republic military or even Primo for getting the stables rebuilt.
Disses: The stand out for the week is Ibania, for her trying to take over the Cockatrice clan, then for having to step down. Remember to keep your praises and disses IC. Also no praising or dissing if they are alt conflicts.
