From FiranMUX
Around the Campfire
Vol. 8 version 153
There was another riot in the Forum the other day. Seems to be a biannual event for the Firans, about like the festivals. Though it seems tempers not only high outside the district. A certain Commander Ghali of the Republic Wardens had her on little riot inside the district. Trying to report to duty at the riot, she was turned away due to the gates closed and not to be opened for anyone on the orders of Lady Proxy Xenobia. A tree near the rising huts bears the mark of her frustration, though other rumors are heard to say she was involved in a snowball fight and then tenting with her husband. Her mood was much happier afterwards.
It would appear Moona and Vilory were married finally, though not even in the Ticanee district and without telling anyone in the clan. Then they tried to make amends by having a party, though it was once again not inside the district. How Firan like of them. But what would you expect from a couple that seems to like spending more time with the Firans then their own clan.
Ulrik and Rijeka, that baby machine duo of the clan, had their seventh child on January 2nd of the new year. As that day was also Lady Lotis' birthday, it was decided that their new daughter be named Tisika, in honor of the lost shaman. Both mother and baby are doing quite well (in fact, it is said that the child is remarkably healthy, and, even better, quiet!) Little Tisika looks just like her parents, or half the clan really, with blue eyes, red hair and freckled skin.
Rumor has it that Terpsika has been seen around the district, looking more cheerful than she has been in months. All winter really. People may speculate that it has something to do with the reappearance of her husband, who's been gone most of the winter on some surveying trip. Judging from the...increased noise coming from the Mink house that could be exactly the reason. Though one has to wonder if it's with her husband or has she found another to play with while he was away surveying land.
Also the barracks are nearly ready, reports Terpsika. Just waiting for her commissions to be finished. If anyone knows how to make a tapestry, Terpsika is still seeking a weaver for commission.
There are some new songs around the district, though many of the older clan members will recognize them from their youth. It seems Nimiker was teaching them to Ghali, who in turn updated them a little for the clan's children. So get out there and relive your youth, help spread the songs of our past.
For the first time in several winters we lost no snowmen to the serial snowman killer. Thanks to the efforts of the brave snowmen willing to point out the proper targets in hopes they deterred the killer and it seems to have worked. All snowman are to be congratulated and are give best wishes for an enjoyable summer, where ever they spend the warmer months of the year.
OOC: Ok I hope everyone is doing great. As you can see Ghali is making new/old songs. We felt that seeing how our written language is so new, most of our history would be in songs and stories. If you think of an idea for a song and cant make it yourself, Ghali will be more then happy to assist you.
There is a movement out to revitalize the 'gossip' command. It's a very nice command to spread good or bad rumors through out the city. Everyone that has it or would like it are encouraged to use it. Its also helpful to learn new gossip and then spread it icly from one person to another. So get out there and gossip away. That is if its ic for you.
Praises for the week: Radik took a rather large hit due to the selection of Atredies for Vicroy. Now no matter which way he would have voted Atredies would still be in that position and Radik still would have taken the hit. So lets praise him for taking a stand. Urtenia would also like to put forth Judanarius as he has always been good towards the Ticanee.
Disses: Personally I say Vilory and Moona for the simply off and getting married, then trying to appease us by throwing a party, but still not having it inside the District. Though pick your favorite target and diss away. Just remember to keep all praises and disses ic. And remember if you can rp with them because of alt conflicts you cant praise or diss them either.
That's it for this week, if I missed something its because you never sent it to me. As always if you need something or wish to see something in the newsletter feel free to @mail or page me. I promise I wont bite, unless you beg me to.
