Around the campfire

Free Olives! Lady Nevra has tons upon tons of olives. She's set up all those olives and a press in her warehouse and informs that everyone who wants to make olive oil is free to come in and do so. Simply find her and have her unlock the door.

Tagda detained?! Nothing new for this trouble making Ticanee. It seems she was one of those held in the Republic jail as part of the investigation into Clan Leader Zeysani's death. What ever connection she had to the one who shall not be named, one can bet she's regretting the amount of trouble that it has brought to her. (Un)fortunately, she was released with out having to spend only about a week with what she calls 'stinky firan's and their screaming babies'.

A hunting party was formed by Okatik upon learning Harvinia had been taken. Many of the tribes, and even firans, joined up and the Bobcat eventually found his wife in the crazy streets of the Old City. Lupos, Ava, and Derik were particularly gifted at finding the trail. Urtenia, Brinalia and Princess Tia even worked on creating some disguising makeup to hide the fact the Old City was suddenly being prowled by Ticanee warriors. Needless to say, Harvinia is recovering now, and Okatik is tremendously grateful to everyone that pitched in to help.

Vigil in the temple? Is someone dying? Those who frequent the temple often will have noticed a young Wolfpack member was staying day and night in the temple, curled up right around the pillar with the bobcat spirit carved into it. What was she doing there? What happened so that she's no longer camped out there? Seek out the young storyteller, Feathyr, to find out! If you stop by the temple, don't forget to offer your prayers to the totems while there.

By order of the Oshta, Tagda is no longer allowed any contact with Abayos. What ever has happened between the two has escalated enough to make the Oshta notice. It must be pretty bad! She's ordered to stay away at all cost and if any hint of a rumor of them having contact will mostly likely enrage our Oshta even more. Contact via someone else isn't allowed either, so if she asks you, it'd probably be best to refuse her.

Around the Walls

The trial of Odoni has finally been held. Her life was spared but she was sentenced to serve in the Republic Military for the remainder of her days, never to rise above the rank of Sentry. She is to train her skills so that her knowledge is so great that a mistake of this kind will never happen again. The one thing in the judgment that seems to have everyone so upset is that she's to go to the front regardless of any situation that she may be in. If she's pregnant, she still has to go to the front and this has a lot of people upset on the behalf of Mes Odoni.

Mes Meliha's trial was held. It was determined by the Firan courts that she was in fact not Mes Meliha, but the twin of the perished Mes Meliha. The twin was found guilty of murder on two counts, conspiracy to murder and inciting riots and as if that wasn't enough, they added the regulation violation of making speeches without a noble permission. She was sentenced to death, which was done shortly after the trial's conclusion. A proper funeral is to be had, her soul to be taken to Unot for his judgment. With the trial done, and her being declared a twin of someone...that means it's not possible that Harvinia be her twin...right?

From trials to funerals, it seems something is always on the lips and minds of everyone. A large turnout was had in what was probably the largest funeral since Lord Belik's funeral. The riverfront was awash in mourning colors and people turned out by the droves to see the Eagle Clan Leader's final rites. Tensions rose and moods turned ugly though as the funeral also served as a reminder as to what happened to their Clan Leader. Hydrans and anybody with Half-shamibellian blood are looked at with anger and murder in their gaze. Thankfully no violence happened /at/ the funeral, though riots were reported all over the city. Luckily though no one was found dead this time as a result of mindless mobs beating up people.

Thanks were given to Princess Selene for her self appointed time as Acting Queen, despite her craziness. Due to her most recent troubles though, clearly a new acting queen needs to be selected. Applications are being accepted via messenger to the Viceroy Taloe. As a side note, it should be mentioned that Clan Leader Taria is /not/ the Acting Queen of the Republic. A fact that the Ticanee surely must have some disappointment over, while the remainder of the city might party at that news.

The Hydran pool results are being told by Anarinuell's very own bookie: Wendos. The word passes around that Mes Maja won for her closest guess of the correct number of the clan population. Remember, if you feel the need to make bets on any major happenings around the city, be sure to let Mer Wendos know and he'll work details out with you.

Word is also being passed around that a Ladies' night at the Opening Gambit will be held soon! ( Saturday March 12, 8 pm est ). Food and drink and no cover charge mean you only need to bring yourself, and money to gamble with. So come one and come all, enjoy a night mean only for those of the fairer sex.

The Solian temple looking for interested women of the Solian faith to contact them if they wish to become an initiate of the temple. Simply send a messenger to Priestess Oriana to discuss meeting times. Become active in our Solian temples today!

A gladiator match was held by Lord Marsalos, but it turned out to be quite the disappointment. Only one gladiator showed up, a Mer Asalan Valerian. Have we no more gladiators in this city who can step up and rise to the challenge? Where have all the gladiators gone. Such an important event in the firan culture, surely it will not become a thing of the past. Hopefully another even will be held soon, as a chance to allow the gladiators of the city to redeem themselves and give everyone the entertainment that is often so sorely needed in this city.

Noble honor was questioned by Lord Regent Donos of Lord Jaran. Charged with treason, he was ordered to proof himself innocent of all charges with in three days. If unable to, death would be his fate. It was proved though without a doubt of his honor and pride in the Eagle clan, therefore the charge was rescinded and the marriage to Lady Proxy Fidelia was to be on again.
