Around the campfire

As quickly as fire spreads, news was passed through the district that the Oshta was caught in a fire! With no more information than that, several Ticanee rushed towards the area. Concern hung in the very air of the Ticanee district as everyone simply awaited news. Many lingered in the temple where the wedding had been interrupted, some moved to outside the district. Many prayers were offered to the totems for her safety. Many people coming in and out of the Oshta mansion would only say that she is resting and not to worry. Soon, the Ticanee got the answers they wanted. A fire was started at her son's hunting lodge, where she was present. Overcome with smoke, she collapsed before she could get out. Many Ticanee and firan citizens flooded in to her aid, one carrying the Oshta out to safety. Unfortunately, the lodge that was built when her sons were just babies, has collapsed. The Ticanee are of course thankful that their Oshta is fine and with no major injuries, which is no surprise as everyone knows the Oshta is a strong women and it'll take more than mere fire to take her down. The question now is, how did that fire get started? Will the Ticanee soon see heads roll? Or at least put on a spike!

Quests completed, it's now official that Lester Mink and Tagda Leafchaser will be married. The marriage did indeed happen, though was interrupted by the Oshta news. After a pause it was determined to go through with the end of the marriage. Afterwards the traditional tenting occurred outside of the temple, though the were few people left to shout at the couple inside. Which could be good or bad, depending on your point of view. Surely Lester, who's known as quite prude as a Ticanee, enjoyed the quiet.

Word gets around the fires and camps that Little Lili, though you'd better not call her that to her face, is looking for someone to make a loincloth for her. Something in light blue. With a lightening bolt beaded on the front. Small in size.

Rumors speculate that our own Mother Urtenia has received /three/ elks. Is the aged Sharani being courted. Some would say that questions been answered in the form of a yes, for a Commander Wendos has been seen often in the district. And Urtenia has been seen hugging and kissing on the cheek of said commander. Is she actually dating a /firan/?

A new Dove is born! That's right, with her RoP Quest over it was time for Jesika's RoP! Many attended the young Whitefeather's ceremony inside the Ticanee Temple. Held by Okatik Swiftpaw, he had the crowd roaring back at them as the fox spirit was seen entering Jesika. Many touching moments were had, including when Alexa presented Jesika with her gift and acceptance? of Jesika's chosen vocation. The fox fur cloak that she made with her own two hands was shown and meat stews was had in abundance for all. She's a true Ticanee women now, for the food didn't even taste bad! Everyone shower her with congrats and of course let her know how much she will missed after she moves to the Dove.

So after Okatik heard the Eagles were talking smack about the burnt totem pole, he went into the Eagle District, found the nearest Tavern, and promptly picked a fight. Many chairs and glasses were destroyed by the Ticanee, including the roulette wheel. The owner of the establishment, a Mer Riyad Apellon, was assaulted by the righteous Ticanee despite saying he had nothing to go with the the insults towards the Totems. Okatik's assault was stopped by Lord Centurion Marsalos and Captain Ronti. Damages were paid and the Ticanee is to stay out of the Eagle District for awhile.

Olympic news

The Olympic race is a close one this year. The Ticanee strong in third place and nipping at the heels of the second place Eagle clan. And everyone knows we can let those totem burning /Eagles/ place better than us! And we better be careful too, because those totem hater monotheists Dragons are right on our heels. In the next events to come, it's imperative that we beat both those clans in our race to overcome the Chimera's who have a weak hold on their first place positions.

Around the City

Forgiveness is not to be had! There has been an order by his Lord Donos. Following Clan Leader Aldrikos' courteous and proper extradition of all collaborators that aided the Haffie traitor and Pavan in their betrayals, he has ruled them as guilty of treason and aiding in the murder of a clan leader. It was ordered every traitor shall be taken to the river and held under the waters for no less than one hour. I offer them all the right to plea their case with the Prince of the Sea while breathing his waters. If Divine forgiveness is offered, then they shall surely be given the ability to breathe like a fish.

As announced by the Lord Viceroy Taleo: In honour of the Olympics and Firan tradition, Republic tolls have been lifted at all gates for the duration of the Olympics. Long live the Republic!

Praises: Okatik for his defense of our totem poles against those evil Eagles. Disses: Anyone who's annoyed us for whatever reason.

OOC Stuff

• A little Olympic note in regards to forfeits and substitution. Forfeits occur when a team shows no representation at all during an Olympic event or, if after a Clan's team has participated in an event and the athelete who started the event can no longer perform. Substitutions may /only/ occur up until the time that Clan's team starts to play in an event. Only then. So, if three Clans have already participated, but one Clan hasn't and that athlete has to go, that Clan can substitute an athlete since they haven't started yet. As hard as it may be for some, as Rl does get in the way of our play time, it has always been like this. The rules can be looked up under News firan Olympic rules and News Firan olympic exceptions.

• Tax Time! It's nearly that time for clan's to collect their yearly taxes. A representative of each clan should @mail Jesse with their new tax information, or @mail if nothing is to be changed. This deadline is by this Friday night!
