Overview
Born in Luragadin, Timandra Mondarik, travelled Anarinuell as a girl just before her Ceremony of Souls. She was interested in meeting her cousins and living life in the city. The friends she made early on in life have largely remained her friends since then. Highly creative and skilled with working metals and gems into pieces of jewelry since a young age, Timandra made a name for herself as a jeweler in the capitol city before her first marriage.
Personality & Beliefs
Timandra has a great well of internal strength. It's clear that she's a fighter from the moment that you meet her, even if her personality isn't always pleasant. She tries to fit in, inevitably trying way too hard, being so sweet at times that most people just want her to stop being so damned nice. And if she can't fit in, she is likely to hold a grudge against those who froze her out. She can be jealous and catty if she feels threatened, and she's competetive. But at base, she has a fiercely giving nature when given the chance, and loyalty means everything to her.
Timandra is a very devout woman. Elik is the diety she prays to most often, and the one whom she has offered her life in service to. Yet, she is a true polytheist and prays at each of the temples off the Sacred Path. She pays particular attention to praying to Firanos, the patron of her birth family, as well as Uf and in recent times has been seen quite often praying to Unot.

Family Life
Timandra is proud of her family background and declares quite frequently that she carries in her Mondarik blood. The Mondariks are descendants of Mondar the Smith. Mondar, a smith of reknown was sought after by Firanos to aid him in capturing the Giant Werc. The werc, a dark dog-like creature with a snarl so vicious it made the bravest of warriors freeze with dread, who's venemous foaming drool would kill a person if it touched their skin. Firanos, with the help of Uf, sent Mondar the Smith a dream in which he was told the way to build a gigantic muzzle for the werc. When he awoke Mondar found the metal to make the muzzle at the foot of his bed, metal the likes of which he had never seen before. Mondar made the muzzle, trembling all the while. When he had finished he carried the muzzle to Firanos' Holy Temple in the lands of the Griffon Clan, according to legend. The muzzle worked and as thanks Firanos blessed Mondar and the Mondarian line, also known as the Mondariks.
Siblings
Jerrom - Timandra is very fond of her younger brother. She cares for him deeply and has spent many years taking care of him. While they bickered when younger, as adults they have grown close. Jerrom lived in Derato Manor with Timandra for a while during her period as a widow. When his wife died Timandra spent seven months caring for Jerrom's sons, even wet nursing the youngest, until he recovered from his grief.
Marriage
Lady Derato
Timandra's first marriage was a fairytale love story. She met Porfirio Derato one day when going to the barracks to visit a friend. When she arrived Porfirio was criticising Timandra's friend so she fled only to return later. Though she brought food to placate him, hoping he would go easy on her friend, Porfirio wasn't hungry and looked utterly miserable. Timandra felt sorry for him and encouraged the Cockatrice commander to talk to her. He refused so she kicked him, but only hurt her foot in the process which made Porfirio feel sorry for her. They began talking in ernest then and she soon became his friend and confidant. They were kindred spirits, both equally devoted to their faith and family. Porfirio was a noble however, having won his nobility in a contest. They tried to wed through traditional channels and had received permission from Her Honour, Zeysani (Timandra's clan leader) and the Cockatrice clan proxy, Lady Bashona Istabannos. Later, when things soured politically between the clans Zeysani revoked her approval leaving Timandra and Porfirio devestated. Porfirio, determined to have Timandra as his bride, entered a festival pentathalon and won. He chose her as his wife using the marriage prize, thus making Timandra Mondarik Lady Timandra Derato.
They were happy for many years despite the turmoil going on around them. Timandra delivered a daughter, Lady Tamia, during the Air Raids of 24 AU while Porfirio was away fighting. Four years later she would bear a son, Firios, just nine months before Porfirio was executed.
Traditional Cockatrice Wedding
After nearly ten years as a successful widow there was pressure growing in the Cockatrice Clan to remove one of the smaller noble houses. Being the only house of neo-nobles it fell upon Her Honour, Diamia to bring about the end of the noble house of Derato. To do this Timandra had to be married out of the family along with her children, or be denobled entirely. As thanks for her many years of service to her adopted clan, as well a favour to a friend, Diamia saw to it that Timandra was married into another neo-noble family. Thus Lady Derato, became a Rissik and a Chimera citizen. This all came as a great surprise to Timandra, who was rumoured to not even like Gavin Rissik, the man she was told to wed. The wedding ceremony was a frosty one and it was nearly a month before Timandra closed up Derato manor and moved herself in with the Rissiks. A year after their marriage Timandra bore Gavin a son; Hedarius. This followed a miscarriage earlier on in 37 AU which brought both Timandra and Gavin closer together. Their marriage now is reputed to be a happy one, despite their different personalites. Together they have ridden the storm of the Antonian Apostasy and the loss of their nobility.
Children
- Tamia - Born in Sarkaran Ministerial Offices in the middle of a war, Tamia is Timandra's first child. Though named for her, Tamia is far more like her father than Timandra. A quiet and usually somber child, she became a petulant teenager who Timandra was forced to punish in creative ways. As an adult Tamia has faced hardship but seems to be on the way to finding her feet again. She married Sharin Rissik, her childhood sweetheart and gave birth to Timandra's first grandchild in 40 AU.
- Firios - Timandra spoilt Firios for a good deal of his life, but also was his harshest critic. She made certain he had the best nannies she could find and encouraged him to learn how to wield a sword and a bow as well as play boy's games. She had high hopes for him as a noble, and as a commoner is relying on his Mondarik blood to get him to where he plans to go in life. Since the conclusion of the Apostasy Firios has resided in the Chimera Compound, only able to be with Timandra during the day. She counts on him to look after Hedarius for her during the nighttime hours.
- Hedarius - The only of Timandra's children fathered by Gavin and her last. Hedarius is the one who looks the most like her, though he has his father's mischievious way with things and people. A charmer and a prankster. Timandra takes him with her to the temples and library often and spends as much time as she can with him.
- Tessa - Tessa was unable to be adopted fully by Timandra, as she was a commoner and Timandra then a noble. Instead Tessa became Timandra's ward. She shared the nursery with the rest of the children and planned to become Tamia's lady's maid when old enough. After Timandra's marriage to Gavin Tessa moved houses with them but remained a Cockatrice. During the Antonian Apostasy Timandra sent Tessa away for her own safe-keeping, uncertain of what would happen. Since then Tessa has finished her studies at a finishing school and married a Cockatrice merchant. She lives in Unotran.

Social Pentathalons
Spring Festial Social Pentathalon Winner, 38 AU Fall Festival Social Pentathalon Winner, 39 AU
- Timandra is the only person to win the social pentathalon twice, and the only person to win it in back to back Festivals. Her first prize was land, the second prize was given to Prince Lianos.
Medical Supplier
While Cockatrice Minister of Health Timandra organised the supplies that were taken by the raiding party led by Lord High General Jalil Firgalik and Lord Razesh Didoron during the 34 AU war season. The party attacked Shamibel to draw some of the enemy forces away from the front where they had been decimating the Firan troops.
Platinum Earrings
Timandra worked with other precious metal smiths in the city on the creation of platinum earrings. It required high levels of skill to manipulate the metal at high temperatures, but eventually a system was worked out and the earrings are now worn all over the city.
Olympic Medals
Timandra created the Olympic medals for three consecutive games.

Timandra created the coronation jewelry for both Her Honour Zeysani and her daughter Her Honour Ania.
Allies
- Lady Shenisa Manosik - Timandra and Lady Shenisa have been friends for many years. Their friendship has continued following Timandra's noblity being stripped away. They often meet for tea and cakes in the Diplomat Inn.
- Lady Yolette N'Gato - Like Lady Shenisa, Lady Yolette's friendship is a long standing one. A former Cockatrice and member of the Didoron family, Timandra has known Yolette for a good many years.
- Lady Menelia Sennet - A former commoner, Lady Menelia was enobled when the rest of the Sennets returned to the city after decades of slavery. She once was tutor to Timandra's son. Now it is Timandra who helps tutor Menelia in the delicate world of noble politics.
- Lord Inarus Elikista - Formerly Lord Inarus Iberik. Timandra has known Lord Inarus since around the time of her Ceremony of Souls. He was cousin to her friend Lady Yasha.
- Her Honour Diamia Istanydiam - The Cockatrice Clan Leader is a source of immense pride for Timandra who has known Diamia since she was tiny. It was she, who negotiated with the Chimera to marry Timandra into the clan and help her keep her nobility.
- Lord Banian Istanydiam - The eldest of Ibania's sons. Timandra is very fond of Banian and frequently can be seen in the Lost Ferry Inn sharing a drink with him and talking.
- The Iberik Family - Nearly half of the Iberiks are related to Timandra through her cousin Lady Lassana and the other half she has known either through Yasha or just come to know on her own.
- The Didoron Family - One of the two remaining noble houses in the Cockatrice Clan. Timandra has many friends amongst the Didorons, not the least of which being the head of the family, Lady Proxy Prime Minister Yvette.
- Prince Lianos Elianik - Timandra gave this prince her festival prize for some reason. That is undeniably quite a boon.
- Acting Queen, Prince Akiva Elianik - Timandra's stepdaughter. She adores Akiva and frequently sends her little things and messages to check up on her.
- Mes Rasha Rissik - Originally it was Rasha who suggested her friend Timandra as a bride for Gavin. Their friendship was strained during the early days of Timandra's second marriage but is very strong now. Timandra views Rasha as a sister.
Enemies
Timandra makes a concerted effort to get along with everyone. As far as most people know there isn't anyone she loathes enough to call 'enemy'.
Scandals
Porfirio and Eneas' Trial
When Timandra first met Porfirio he was already a Republic Warden, Cockatrice military commander and Firanosian priest. He took all three duties very seriously. As a warden he was structured into the Republic's First Division, though he did not have the traditional duties of guard. In what came to be a rivalry that never was explained Porfirio and Lord Eneas Iberik grew to loathe one another and this led to intense competition between the two. Allegedly their mutual hatred came to head when both hired the same Old City mercenary to kill the other. The mercenary was an informant of then General Firuell and Commander Penthus - both Gold Dragons. The mercenary claimed the two, Porfirio and Eneas, also contracted for the deaths of Firuell and Pentheus. Heralded as the worst scandal the First Division had seen at the time both Porfirio and Eneas were found guilty after spending many months in jail waiting for a trial. Both were hung in public executions on 29 September 29 AU.
Firuell, the man who brought for the evidence against both Porfirio and Eneas was later ousted from his clan as a traitorous Blood Dragon and not long after that was executed as part of the Antonian Apostasy leaving Timandra to heavily doubt his honesty. Regardless of Porfirio's guilt or innocence his trial, conviction and execution hurt the Derato's social standing. On 4 September 29 AU, before the execution of Porfirio, then Cockatrice Clan leader, now Lord Nydiam IstaNydiam, decreed that Timandra and the children would retain their nobility. Two years following his wife Lady Proxy Lucretia decreed that Porfirio's land would go to Timandra and that she had until Tamia's turned sixteen to see to the proper noble education of her children or forfeit the land to the Cockatrice Clan.
Prince Avahlon Elianik
As part of her Temple of Elik initiate duties Timandra was charged with organising events for children who frequented the temple. One of the most devout children was Prince Avahlon Elianik. As such Timandra confered with then Clan Leader IanyaElianik who was High Priestess of the realms and it was decided Avahlon would be named as Lord Elik's representative in the Celebration of Elik ceremony. This did not cause any immediate waves, but soon Avhalon's behaviour did.
Antonian Apostasy
Timandra, like many, was unaware of a group of conspirators forming in the city. A group of men and women, reputedly led by the Chimera Antonius Marcus and his friend Sir Nathim Ista Ankur worked to upsurp not only the Lord Viceroy Taleo Teranzik but also the then Chimera Clan Leader, now Lady Inaya Elikista. In March 39 AU the group's existance was revealed following a series of raids ordered by the viceroy. New information and rumours surfaced daily. In the midst of it the Rissik family was arrested and denobled - the charge of treason leveled against Yasha and Kristover (and later Orestes). Timandra, the newest adult member of the family was suddenly thrust into the position of head of house. She was released soon after and began putting the pieces of the family back together. Eventually the others, save the three charged with reason, were released. Yasha and Kristover were executed while Orestes died later. The remaining Rissiks were forced out of their home into a cottage confiscated when the Keniran family, also implicated in the Apostasy, were evicted to the Old City.
There the family remains - save Rasha who resides in the Chimera Compound, a servant to the new clan leader His Honour Torianos Elikista and his wife Lady Melani, and those once noble children who still remain children.
The Antonian Apostasy came as a great shock to Timandra as it did many others. Aside from loosing her long-time friend Yasha it cost her the nobility she worked so hard to maintain for herself and her children. It proved yet again how resilient a woman Timandra is.
