TinyPlot: Operation New Start
From FiranMUX

Overview
This is a page for wizards and players alike to plan the first tour of duty back into Ellish, which has been dubbed "Operation New Start." Admin will use this page to communicate with you, and we hope you'll take the time to communicate back in the various brainstorming sections.
Timeline
We'll kick off Sunday June 22, 2008. It will last one week, and we're willing to run one session per night, Sunday through Friday, between 7pm-10:30pm EST, with a little wiggle room for it to go over into 11pm.
Participants
We will take 5-10 participants per mission per night. If you can't resolve a mission and tie up all the loose plot threads in a night, you will have to hand it off to your "relief" the next night--the group that will go next. In the meantime, you can rp between missions at the front.
Rules
- No one character will be allowed to go on more than one mission during a tour, or more than one tour of duty in a row.
Groups & Diversity
Missions for the following types of characters should be kept in mind:
- translators
- priests
- messengers
- healers
Missions
- Securing a Gate (Sunday): 7-10 participants
- Entire Army is briefed by the Third Division
- Participants figure out which gate you want to open first
- Participants establish a command headquarters inside the city to secure a gate.
- Establishing Communications (Monday): 5-7 participants
- Participants identify leaders within the city and attempt to make contact
- Participants spread pro-Republic propaganda
- Infiltrating the City for Intelligence Gathering (Tuesday): 4-5 participants
- Participants disguise themselves and infiltrate the city to explore and gather intelligence
- Investigating the Tower of Obala (Wednesday): 5-7 particpants
- Participants find a way to get to the tower and investigate, hopefully returning alive
- Open Mission (Thursday)
- Open Mission (Friday)
We're allowing ourselves, and you, some flexibility. Three of the missions will be decided by players based on information you've learned and things you want to pursue. However, there's flexibility on our side too. If you inadvertently spark a civil war on Sunday, all the subsequent missions could change.

Notes & Discussions
Steph's War Channel Chat
Held on Friday, June 6th around 10:30PM game time.
Brain storming for things for the first mission: Since the city's been almost entirely hands off since the Firans took the city, focus is going to have to be on laying the groundwork for running the city - figuring out some way to establish at least a rudimentary government to handle food distribution, security, and justice; securing major routes through the city to allow for travel and to base future work into subsections of the city; establish intelligence gathering to identify internal threats.
Possible focuses for intelligence gathering: Are the Goats really gone or have they gone underground? Who are the rabblerousers and can they be addressed without inspiring more rabble rousers?
Establish interactions with any existing civilian government in the city.
Potential operation name: Operation New Start (Operation Head Start, Operation Clean Sweep, Operation Freedom, Operation Retake also suggested)
