Overview

This is a page for wizards and players alike to plan the second tour of duty back into Ellish, which has been dubbed "Operation Urban Renewal." Admin will use this page to communicate with you, and we hope you'll take the time to communicate back in the various brainstorming sections.

Setting & Scenario

During their first tour in Ellish, the Republic military established a command post in the northern section of the city. The north gate towers are serving as the barracks and staging area for Prince Argin's soldiers. The Republic engaged in a number of operations throughout the tour. Diplomatic envoys were sent to meet with various factions, and as a result the Republic controls a sizable portion of the northern city. They have a working agreement with the FFI, which controls the northwestern city, to share troops and resources for common goals. There were several sorties with Shamibelian resistance fighters, and there was a brief venture to the Tower of Obala in the center of Ellish. There's even stories being told of a massive battle with a vicious carnotti in the middle of the streets.

The Republic's accomplishments during the first tour have set the stage, and now they return to Ellish. The foundation has been laid, and now the frame of the house must be built upon it. The greatest challenge, however, may come as the Republic soldiers attempt to work in conjunction with the Griffon soldiers, who have made their camp at the south gate of Ellish.

We will take 5 participants per mission per night. If you can't resolve a mission and tie up all the loose plot threads in a night, you will have to hand it off to your "relief" the next night--the group that will go next. In the meantime, you can rp between missions at the front.

Rules

Notes

  • We need to start reeducating the population of Ellish in a controlled manner. They've had a slave mentality for a while and some may not even speak Firan. Not sure arming the population is good until after they have been reeducated. We need to continue to slowly explore the territory we've not gained yet. It should be somewhat systematic so we don't spread our resources too thin or leave ourselves vulnerable to an attack. We need to set up an 'air defense' as well as fortify with ballista controlled by the Griffon military. If any temples to our gods were found, it would be good to get them going rather quickly. Drawing the populace into the temple which can be a place where food, clothing and toys can be given out to those in need might help sooth the population. Clothing/food/toy drive. It will be Winter when we return to Ellish. Warm is always good. May need to access the area for building problems (ie, holes in roofs) and for fire safety. Find those places where the Shami higher ups lived and search for information. While we're at it, let's find the stolen GD money. (Willow)

- This is the sort of thing the Firans can do in 'down time' when the missions are not actively running. ICPM has more staff then Theme does and will be available to rp NPCs at random times during this next tour. There will be a 'point' GM who will oversee the progress the Firans make with the slaves they encounter. Jessica

  • My two cents which was updated to the CoC during it. The Southern Gate's Locking mechanism could be rigged but we were short the materials. This was told ICly to people that we needed 1 bar of bronze, 1 bar of iron, and locksmithing tools. This would not make a siege worthy lock but it /would/ prevent the southern gate from just being pushed open. Richard 19:42, 30 June 2008 (EDT)

- If the PCs on the next tour want to do this as one of the side missions, they are more then welcome to ask for this. Jessica
