TinyPlots
From FiranMUX
While the majority of role-playing on Firan is set around interpersonal relationships and conflicts, quite a lot of those conflicts are directly related to TinyPlots (or TPs). The @tps command gives a listing of all of the currently active TinyPlots and also lists a coordinator for each plot. TinyPlots are crucial to the development of the game and are also a lot of fun to be involved in. Contact the TP Coordinator if you think your character might have a good reason to get involved -- or even just to ask if you can participate. It's agreat way to get even more involved in the overarching theme of the game.
This is the name given to any game plot which requires staff aid, whether in the form of code or being actively guided. A tinyplot might be thought of as a short story involving anywhere from a few to several players, which could end up affecting the whole game. It might take a few days, a few weeks, or even months before it runs its course. Examples are a risky love affair between two people of different social classes, or someone from the Gold Dragon Clan declaring his intent to wed a Griffon Clan maiden. More complex tinyplots include the annual summer war campaign against the Shamibelians at Ellish, or the annual spring and fall festivals. Simple or complex, these require the care and feeding by the staff. Tinyplots sometimes require approval from either of the Chief Wizards (Adam or Steph). Examples might be anything involving the Lanesh Regime or a course of action by a member of the Ranivor's family which would adversely affect the future of the Ranivor's throne -- and the course of the entire game.
