TRANSLATOR

Translators earn a living facilitating communication between people who do not speak the same language. There are four primary languages spoken in the game: Firan, Shamibelian, Ticanee and Bonduin. Translators might work for the Republic in an official capacity at trials, clan council meetings, and diplomatic affairs. They might also work for specific clans.

Translators also make money by teaching languages to others in private tutoring, and through the academies.

Equipment

All a translator needs to work is a ready mind and an ear for the various languages.

Attributes and Skills

The language skill will come in handy for a translator, as well as high intuition, reason, and memory to figure out, understand and remember what is being said. Another skill that can often come in handy for a translator is the diplomacy skill, as many of the situations a translator will find him or herself in will be diplomatic in nature.

Game commands

The language system is vital to understand if you are a translator, specifically, the 'speak' command. 'Speak Firan' will change your primary language to Firan, 'Speak Ticanee' will change your primary language to Ticanee, and so forth.

• Find yourself a job as a translator for a noble lord or lady who is a diplomat
• Become a military translator iin the Fifth division
• Offer your services at Clan Council meetings and other meetings for those who might not understand the primary language spoken
