TROILUS ISTANAR

Mer Troilus was a carpenter who built solid, functional goods for functional people. He took pride in knowing that his couches and beds, though they lacked the elegance of crafts that a noble would use, would serve their purpose for generations after the 'pretty' goods had fallen into disrepair. Though he was gruff and grumbled a lot, he was well liked by those who knew him and often referred to as a big teddy bear. Despite having lived in the Old City when he moved to Anarinuell from Eeshor, then discovering that his sister was put to death by Lady Proxy Fidelia, he always maintained a strong sense of Clan pride. Never once was he heard to speak out against the leadership of the Bears. It was a point that earned him admiration and ridicule from his peers.

Troilus never wanted to make much of himself, and never did. He lived a quiet life, keeping to himself and not asking anything of others. He was a strong, capable man who loved his wife and children and did as well for them as he was able. Sadly, his life left as quietly as it was lived. Troilus died on Feb. 6th, 37 A.U., as he drowned in the flooding after a great snowfall that year. He was found still clinging to the last bit of his lumber, apparently trying to save it from being washed away.
