Overview
Obituary
Ulyn served as a Republic First Division Warden, but he also served as a Hydran Royal Guard. He was known to be one of the straightest arrows in Aerval. Loyal, honourable and courteous to a fault - he was incapably of lying. Many knew him in his young years as a sweet man, and that bloomed to very thoughtful in his adult years. Ulyn also sported a beard (albiet whisps) and was never approached because of this, instead rather it seems as he was a Royal Guard he was accorded with this as well as being able to be assigned extremely dangerous missions - these things usually being reserved only for Hydran Warriors (see Hydra Warrior Code for more information). He was a man with two aspects to himself: The Civilized Hydran and the Fierocious Hydran Warrior. The two aspects were never seen together, only one or the other. Examples of this is rather than upsetting his Betrothed, on the evening of his departure to War Ulyn simply requested that they pretend nothing was happening and he left her with the words, "I will see you tomorrow". He looked after the Anizut family, and protected all his relatives closely from any threats private or public.
In 42 AU, after successfully completing a secret mission - Ulyn returned to the city of Anarinuell. He was given orders to go to the Front to fight as a Hydran Warrior in the Donos Campaigns of 42 AU. He served with distinction, protecting those around him and slaying multiple shamibelians. However, at the Battle of Fort Zayes Ulyn gave the ultimate sacrifice. Those that saw the last moments of Ulyn say that they saw a swarm around him - seven shamibelian soldiers and a shamibelian warlord - all attacking the valiant Hydran Warrior. It took multiple blows, and Ulyn was still protecting those Firans near him rather than himself - eight Shamibelians finally were able to best him and the warrior fell without making a sound.
Ulyn died in glorious battle, just like his father and his grandfather did before him. No other way would a Hydran Warrior of his standing choose to go.
Family Life
Parents
Persin(d) - Ulyn and his father were very close, though Persin died in Arinzi in the aftermath of Her Honour Zeysani's death, when the medallion pulsated with power and eradicated an entire line of warriors and guards. This event affected Ulyn deeply and dramatically - he always remembered and honoured his father and blamed his death on Draugik, haffies and Shamibelians in general.
Ulyka - Ulyn and his mother also were very close. It was she who told him about their family heritage and history, about how she was raised and the lessons in life she learned. Ulyn feels that she is a wonderful woman and will protect her at all costs.

Ulyn never married. He did however court Mes Perle, a pious, devoted to family and loyal Hydran young woman.

The Republic Achievement Medal and Family Award
First General High Priest Donos stated in 42 AU after the battle for Fort Zayes:
"Sentry Ulyn of the Hydra clan did not so much charge across the platform to reach the battlements as leap. Reports say he scrambled up the top of part of the fortifications and leapt into the midst of the enemy. While others tried to reach him, he fought on, battling an entire squad of the enemy. By the time the rest of his line could link up with him he was already dead, but his sudden and surprising attack had delayed a large number of the goats, so scared were they of this grim-faced Hydran warrior in their midst. Sentry Ulyn is awarded the Republic Achievement medal and his family will receive fifty thousand stenis and the thanks of a grateful Republic."
Bronze Armour Won
Ulyn won a set of personal bronze armour from Commander Tagda as she [gave a speech] regarding his personal qualities.
Title: Zutiv's Hound
After a certain mission of secrecy and importance for the Republic, Ulyn earned the nickname "Zutiv's Hound" for his tracking capabilities and being able it seems to find anything or anyone - no matter where in Aerval they tried to hide. It was uncanny.
Hydran Royal Guard
Sentry Ulyn is a Hydran Royal Guard. He was selected after a gruelling test over many years of faithful service for qualities of an extremely high standard. He guards the Proxies, as well as the Hydran Clan Leader Amenik and the Clan Leader's family. He takes these duties very seriously. A Hydran Royal Guard is the best of the best and fiersome combatants of spiritual as well as physical feats.
Republic Military - First Division - (Sentry) Warden
Ulyn is responsible for patrolling the wilderness that surrounds Anarinuell as well as the Republic in general. It's been noted that he is extremely gifted in finding people or hunting and is a blessing to those travellers who are lost. He can spend weeks at a time away from home, guarding the citizens from the Shamibelian threat, as well as threats closer to home.
Anizut Temporary Head of Household
Sentry Ulyn is extremely proud he is able to assist the Anizut family by serving as Head of Household. Although it is temporary in nature due to his uncle Galerius being too occupied with the Lodge matters, it still is a great honour for a young Hydran man to take this title.
Sole Survivor
Ulyn was there - serving alongside his father Persin as a Royal Guard special detachment at Arinzi to protect Draugik. What is little known is he was standing right in front of Zeysani as she fell. Breaking ranks he jumped forward to save her falling as she was dying and a tremendous flash and boom erupted all around - there was no survivors reported, however there was one: Ulyn. Standing alive, with Zeysani's body protectively in his arms.

Ulyn does not do scandals, as scandals are not a part of the Hydran Warrior Code.
