Joey started MU*ing in his teens, in the mid-to-late 90s - he started out on World of Darkness MU*s such as Sanguinis Nobilis (his primary game) and a few others, but fell into a non-gaming funk when SN closed. One of his best friends at SN suggested a new game to him - he logged into Firan at her request in 2001 (very leery of original fantasy games at the time) and has never looked back. While his friend long ago left Firan, Joey has remained, and he became a staff trainee on September 3rd, 2004, as FuchsiaBuilder.

After earning his name and the title of Junior Wizard, Joey started out in the Information subgroup, moved into OOC Player Management, and then migrated into the Theme/IC Player Management subgroup. Previously, Joey's mentor was Amber, but since he was promoted to a Full Wizard, he has been moved back to the OOCPM area under Lisa, as her Assistant. His grand-mentor is Adam, and his mentees are Moose and Pippa. He currently serves as the Wizard who performs Faction Head elections and handles other issues involving FacHeads.

Joey's first ever character was Barabus, the Old City haffie - he is not currently playing the same character now. Joey's most famous staff tasks would probably be his modification/repair of the Playercomplaint code, the newly revamped @ballots code, the pets code (including spaniels and hounds), and the festival games he made for Sarkaran (Esmerelda the seer, the dunking booth, the ring toss game, and the goldfishing booth are all his creations). His detractors claim that he had a hand in the 'Squeal' command, but he vehemently denies this to the point of violence when confronted with the allegations. He's also done a sick number of chargens!
