Bio
Stephanie Dray is a writer, a storyteller, a game designer, and a political activist who also happens to run FiranMUX. She serves as the Maryland State Coordinator for the Rapid Response Network and as the communications director for the Baltimore County Young Democrats. In a former life, she was also a communications lawyer.
She currently lives with her husband and three cats in Owings Mills, Maryland.
She helps raise Orphaned Kittens as a foster mom.
She is the co-founder of FiranMUX and has run the game, with her husband, since 1997.
She also maintains some private pages which are locked to her Writer's Group.
Expertise on the Game
Her greatest strengths (game-wise) are developing rich characters and deviously creative storylines. She also is very skilled at isolating flaws in systems like the ones she and Adam are developing for Firan and suggesting very rational, logical solutions — even if they fly in the face of everything everyone has done before.
She is responsible for most of the thematic material that compromises the Firan world but has had an active hand in developing the game systems as well. In fact, she coded most of the economic systems and social systems, and a chunk of the infrastructure — since learning to program on her own so we could get built faster.
Since she's never actually played in a role-playing game before 1996, she had a lot of catching up to do, but nobody who role-plays with her can tell!
