Zeysani's War: Vahlgellan Becomes Regent

Despite terms being called for by the accepted regent of the Hydran people, the Eagles would only deal with whoever held the Medallion, that being Rodellos who was unaccounted for until Vahlgellan gave a speech blasting the powers behind the Bear-Gold Dragon conflict which resulted in Akinita and Sabinus' executions for treason. He mentioned at the end that he had taken the medallion from Rodellos in Caldera City. It was said the Medallion had accepted him and did him no harm while he wore it. He continued to make speeches promising fair reform and diplomacy for the Hydrans until Amenik was ready, reminding the people of the Republic of his blood ties to Belik through Sabine and Aldrik herself.
The Clan Council voted for Taleo to once more become Viceroy in light of Sadin's inactivity. His first speech was to proclaim that the matter of Vahlgellan becoming Regent was matter for the Hydrans and that the Eagles were acting alone against the Hydra as opposed to it being a Republic act. He also demanded Draugik's return for trial on charges of treason and war crimes.
