VORFUS HISTARU

Vorfus was an infamous man long before his disappearance, and he is remembered for this notoriety along with his wife, the late Dryopi. It is not widely known that Vorfus was something of a good husband while the family lived in Arinzi, far from temptations like booze and women; it was only after the Hydrans were relocated to the capital that the couple's married life began to worsen. Widely known to be a vicious drunk and an angry man, Vorfus even went so far as to beat his wife in the Anarinuell Forum and Marketplace, after she did him the 'disgrace' of enlisting in the Republic military.

While most Hydrans believed it to be the right of a husband, many others in the city did not. One of them was Mer Hugannelli, a fellow member of Vorfus' clan, who broke into his home in an effort to free Dryopi from her situation. Vorfus slew Hugannelli in self-defense, within his own home.

It was shortly after this that Dryopi's clothing was found washed up on the shores of the Ani river along with garments belonging to her daughter Kallisto - it is widely believed that both drowned. Little is known of what happened to Vorfus after the disappearance of his wife - he also has not been seen, and nobody seems to have a clear understanding as to where he has gone. What is clear, however, is that few miss him. He left behind two children: Dryphus and Hypeius, who were taken in as adoptive children of the Hattie and Payudos N'Gadanik.
