HAPPENINGS
Word spreads throughout Anarinuell that Norah Jaffus has finally become the legendary teacher she so long sought to be. Students ooh and aah at Mes Norah's decision to remain with, and teach, the Nekaht -- so far away from home and family.
An old woman climbed the stage in the forum (rumours that she broke her hip on the way are vastly exaggerated). She claims to know why the lions have come again, and her cries ring out through the marketplace. A small crowd (those too brave or too foolish to stay home) have gathered to hear her speak. Doom! DOOM.
The Hydra Clan is still not "over" the incident where their royal heirs went missing for several days. Some of them chalk it up to a boy's prank, but others say that there's always been something mysterious about the Istabelik mansion. The boys themselves have said that they hear rattling chains sometimes in the house, and servants report hearing ghostly cries of a woman, a trapped lost soul somewhere in the Istabelik house.
New Delegates: Mes Zutani Garkansen of the Chimera Clan, Mer Kader Davocelli of the Bear Clan, and Mer Bukatio Emagalish of the Gold Dragon clan were all elected delegates of the Republic.
Karison's Apparel, known for the lovely fashions of wearable art is now open to the public. Under new management of Mes Kariannia Caperbow, the shop is newly stocked with both winter and upcoming spring fashions.
The True Temple of Arinzi stirred at the news of the new High Priest of the True Temple, seeking answers as to what happened to Father Javier Jessamyn and his guards. They looked towards the former acting High Priest, Brother Sedarius Firabi for answers. Some even suggest an inquisition might be called on priests of the True Temple.
Members of the clergy within the Temple of Zutran speak of a scroll that was sent to them, said to make damaging remarks about members of the Anarinuell sector of the Temple of Zutiv, even echoing some agreement to the True Temple of Arinzi's concerns at Father Javier's disappearance. They suggest that Lord Initiate Rodiste and Lord Initiate Osirus N'Gato need to be looked at more closely for alledgedly thinking of themselves as above the fully ordained Priests of the True Temple because of their nobility and so going against the natural order of the clergy. The clergy of Zutran are aghast at the mess the True Temple in Anarinuell appears to be in, and there's some talk that some of the more senior priests may travel to the capital city to help Father Piarres 'settle' into his priestly duties and get things in order once more.
Shrieks rang out from the temple district, disturbing the parisoners. On investigation it turned out that around twenty monkeys were causing a ruckus and needed to be dealt with.
Upon investigation of a stench between the Western Gates in the Palace district, a sad rumor was passed around that the cause of the smell was that of a tiny baby found long decayed in a canvas bag once buried in the city wall. The bundle was passed off to the Temple of Unot to recover what they could of the child's dignity and prepare for funeral rites long past due.
The Temple of Elik reminded people that Spring was fast approaching, and that without Elik there would be no seasons. They offered blessings for farmers and landowners.
JUDGMENTS
Clan Leader Amenik ruled that The Hydran throne would no longer sort marriage disputes between non-nobles within the Hydran Clan.
Mes Arys was found guilty of two counts of theft, two count of breaking and entering and regulation violation. Mes Arys was captured by Centurion Teni, amongst others.
Lady Proxy Taleena appointed Mer Zetes Leafchaser as Minister of Land and Forests for the Ticanee.
Clan Leader Taria ruled that Lord Empyrean was henceforth to be called "Empyrean the Lion Slayer" by all Ticanee.
Lady Proxy Taleena granted Dame Sarina and Mer Lester Whitefeather permission to adopt Maimiti as their child.
