Happenings

It appears that the care of children has gotten more expensive recently, causing many to wonder how long the average family will be able to afford enough children to be able to work their farms or family businesses. Budgeting has become a buzzword in Anarinuell!

The Lighter of Anarinuell has been captured in the Srennan temple thanks to the heroic actions of Prince Deputy Viceroy Torianos Elianik and Mer Karish Keniran. Firans breathe a sign of relief and sleep safer in their beds with this menace captured once and for all.

The Gold Dragon Clan is abuzz with the news that their Clan Leader, His Honor Jalil Firgalik, is stepping down in favor of his son, the Lord Governor Ojitar Firgalik. Some wonder why Lord Emil or Lord Tyrsun weren't chosen - better blood, they argue. Some wonder if an Elianik will bid. Speeches are flying in support of Lord Ojitar, from commoners and royalty alike - but still, there's a sense of unease surrounding the upcoming coronation festivities. What will happen?

Prince Deputy Viceroy Torianos Elianik seems to have created some trouble for himself as of late as with the taking of the Rissik's land and dividing it among his family, not to mention the potentital redemption of nobility for the minor Rissiks. The Chimera clan reacted with apprehension and disbelief to the apparent promises of the opportunity that the minor members of the Rissik family might regain their noble title. With the recent conflicts, the people were willing to accept the Rissiks as scapegoats, but with this new information - giving the noble title back to minor members of a noble family with once beloved members now executed, the Chimerans are sure other clans are going to be enraged and it might very well cause a war. Is this going to cause ... war? The Clans of the Republic now are forced to wonder if the killings of Kristover and Yasha were just a ploy by the Elikista family to clear themselves of guilt in the most recent coup attempt. Suspicions of Clan Leader Inaya, Lord Inarus, and even Prince Deputy Viceroy Torianos come to the fore. What kind of game are they playing, anyway? The people want to know.

And speaking of Chimera, there is a new one in the form of Clan Leader Inaya's newborn daughter. The newborn Lady Ayani Elikista was born after a difficult pregnancy and birth on the part of the Clan Leader, but both mother and child are doing well.

Clan Leader Inaya has announced her triumphant return after her difficult pregnancy, in fact. She's claimed the right of her clan's title of the clan of second chances, and given herself a second chance at leadership. Her first act? To declare that no Rissik shall ever again hold a noble title, and to put a bounty of ten million stenis on Eliana, wanted dead or alive!

Clan Leader Inaya's second act? To hand over her Medallion to her son, the Prince Deputy Viceroy Torianos Elianik! He has accepted the transfer of the Medallion. Festivities are sure to follow!

The Elianik Family has not taken kindly to Her Honor Inaya's bounty on the Princess Eliana's head. They, while wanting her to stand before the clan council, have decreed that no-one shall touch a hair on her head without being executed themselves!

Goats! The day's excitement began with a fire on the Istaranidad Estate, and then raiders first appeared in the Gold Dragon district, then reports had them seemingly everywhere, in the Hydra District, and crashing Griffons left and right, through the Sunburst Stables, and even through the roof of the Junik Mansion once again. The Istaranidad Manor lies in ruins after the blaze consumed it, but casualties among Firankind were so few to have seemed nonexistent. Firans cheer for their soldiers, who fought so bravely against the Shamibelian menace once again.

New caretakers have been announced for the Zutiv's Blessing orphanage - the Lady Tia has named Mer Raheem and his wife Mes Uryella Firabi the new caretakers. The people wish them well in their endeavors!

Judgments

Lord Proxy Firistan N'Gato declared Mer Ameer Mageeran the Minister of Education for the Hydra Clan, and transferred Lord Paydor N'Gadanik from Mnister of Learning to Minister of Secular Justice.

Lady Proxy Yvette Didoron decreed that the Cockatrice Clan welcomes Mes Sharina as a Cockatrice Citizen as per the marriage agreement between her and Sentry Bashar, and grants them the last name of Sarkarik. Mes Sharina's daughter will remain a Bear Clan citizen and a member of the Davocelli family.

Lady Proxy Taleena Oshta declared that Mes Witani Leafchaser shall once more be the head of the leafchaser household.

Prince Deputy Viceroy Torianos Elianik has ruled that Mes Saria, for her insubordination, in light of her past criminal activities, is sentenced to live out her life on the front, serving with the Third Division.

Lady Proxy Carana Sennet has decreed that all children of the Griffon clan must be able to defend themselves before their Ceremonies of Souls. To that end, a separate ceremony will be held, prior to their Ceremonies of Souls, showing a proficiency with a weapon, for every Griffon child. Parents who fail their children by denying them the right to defend themselves will find themelves fined and an evaluation of their fitness to care for their children will be made.

Lord Proxy Firistan N'Gato fined the following families 100,000 stenis for failure to display a copy of the Warrior Code: Jaldrish, Rinavalu, Mageeran. Families have three months to pay this fine. A second failure results in a 250,000 fine. Furthermore, for his failure to carry out his duties as Minister of Public Works, Priest Belikos Jessamyn is removed from his post. The position is being eliminated.
