Yasha
From FiranMUX
First Lady Yasha Iberik, then Lady Yasha Teranzik, then Lady Yasha Rissik,
Lady Yasha Elianik, then Lady Rissik again -- and finally, of no title or
last name at all -- a woman of the lowest order: a traitor. Yasha began
life the daughter of Lord Yaffros and Lady Deelia (a woman who was kept,
mostly, outside of Anarinuell) and was a happy, carefree girl. When she
was fourteen, however, she was married off to Lord Leonus Teranzik, son
ofn Lord Taleo Teranzik, then just another lord of the Bear clan. Yasha
deeply and bitterly hated that marriage -- she felt as if she were simply
a pawn for her family -- and once it was over, she rarely spoke of it.
Yasha was then a pawn again, this time used by Zeysani, but she was able to reap the benefits. The Clan Leader gave Yasha a marriage prize and Yasha, under much coercion, chose Lord Proxy Sabinus just days before Sabinus was supposed to marry Lady Petrina Ista Aldrik. Yasha believed that Sabinus would provide her with much power and that he was in line to become a Clan Leader. With Sabinus, Yasha would have two children, then-Lords Sharin and Sabiros (both of whom are now common). Sabinus, however, was never going to see a medallion. In 25 A.U., he was executed, blamed for political troubles brought to light by the Bears and Gold Dragons. Yasha, however, flourished. She was able to weave in and out of social circles of the nobility; she was the head of the social committee (stepping down when her duties to her clan took over), she was a proxy, and she was an important woman within the city who came into her own. When the Chimera came to Anarinuell, the Red Dragon favored Yasha and it was she who played its proxy in the famed game of chess that saw it reunited. It was also her blood that featured in the ceremony to do so.
Proxy of the Chimera clan, Yasha Rissik was a very powerful woman in her own right. After Sabinus' death, Prince Sadin was banished for his rash actions and the two began to have a sense of friendship as they realized they both had problems with the execution. When Sadin returned from his banishment, in 34 A.U., Yasha won the social Pentathlon at the spring festival and chose Sadin as her marriage prize. In 34 A.U., she married Prince Sadin Elianik and became Lady Proxy Yasha Elianik. But that, too, was not to last. They were divorced during the Scirlut struggle in 36 A.U. with one daughter, Princess Nalene, to show for their wedding. Yasha did not let this stop her. She went on to big, bright things; she worked with Lord Donos Ista Aldrik on the social committee once again and she helped then-Clan Leader Inaya Elikista run the Chimera clan.
That would all change during the Antonian Apostasy in which a group of people led by Antonius (then) Marcus and Nathim (then) Ista Ankur. It is said that Lady Rissik and her family, especially Lord Kristover and Lord Orestes, were key players in obtaining ballistas and the supplies with which to build them. Moreover, they were planning to take over the Chimera throne as well, securing what Yasha surely thought was her rightful place within the clan; it was clear that she was still bitter over Sabinus' death. The Rissik family was forever denobled, their assets forfeit to the Chimera clan and along with many other executions in the year of 39 A.U., Yasha, Kristover, and Orestes were all put to death by then-Prince, now-Clan Leader Torianos.
In the aftermath of the entire debacle, there was concern that the Rissiks were being set up by the Elikista family and Torianos in particular, and grumblings were heard throughout the city. To this day, however, the Rissik status within the Chimera clan has not changed.
