Zeysani's Final Words

A solemn messenger from Arinzi nails the final words of Clan Leader Zeysani to the rostra in the forum to be read.
I write these words to my family, my clansmen and my allies knowing that they could very well be the last that I pen.
My clan - the proud and prosperous clan of the Eagle, we have been betrayed. Never again think that an enemy might speak truth on actions for we have sorely been proven wrong and the lesson we have all learn has been a harsh one. Harsh but never forgotten. The treachery from the one called Draugik will have repercussion for generations to come and each leader after me will hold to their heart the insidious actions that were shown not only to me but to our clan. I might be gone from your presence but memories, like souls, find places and people to reside. Should I find Unot's arms, I will tell him that the Eagle clan holds its honor, its pride, its loyalty close to their hearts and I faced my death knowing that I did not stray from any of those values.
My allies - remember the odious lessons taught this dark day. Know that trust of those who carry within them the blood of our most hated enemies is a false and foolhardy trust. The one that pledged his loyalty to the republic, to the Elianik family, and to the Ranivor himself, has betrayed members of that very family. I task to you to make sure that my medallion goes to my heir, that she has her birthright. Princess Ania Elianik. You have never before let me down, I ask that you do not now, in the time of my most intense hour of need.
Donos, raise our children well, keep my clan safe until Ania is able to take her rightful place on my throne. Let the youngest of them know of their mother and what she did for their safety, their honor, and their clan. Teach them pride of the clan, loyalty, wisdom. Zaridos, so much like your grandfather and your uncle. I hope you never lose your sense of adventure but pray that a bit of wisdom temper your actions so that the lessons of life you learn are not as harsh or unforgiving. Be a responsible role-model for Daranos and Nazina, you have much to teach them. Know that as my first born, you hold a special place in my heart that no one else could ever fill.
Ania, my heir and my successor. Your sense of responsibility is great and I know that your leadership of the clan will bring our people to their finest moments in history. Wear the medallion proudly, willpower, determination and knowledge will be the companions that guide your thoughts and your decisions. I have only the regret in my actions that I will be unable to see you grow and lead our clan. My pride in you is unsurpassed and I could not have been blessed with a better daughter.
Daranos. You are too small to remember me clearly but your arrival was the result of the benevolent interference of a god. Your great-grandfather, the God Zin, thought enough of Donos and I to bring us together and you were a result of that match. Remember that you are of two royal houses and your paths to adulthood could branch out in many directions but the safety, shelter and love from your family will be the base that keeps you strong.
Nazina. So young to lose a parent but it is trials such as these that make a person either strong or weak. You are of the royal house of the Eagle, in your blood also runs the blood of the Bear. You will be a strong one and as the last of my children, special in your own right.
Know this, my children. While to show love might not have been clear, do not ever doubt that I love you. I would give my life for each one of you as would any member of the clan. You are the heirs, the future and I go to Unot knowing that the Eagle clan will not falter, will not weaken, will not die for you are my children and my children are strong.
A few requests that I wish to be carried out:
-Ania, your grandmother Sabine left you a beautiful set of diamond jewelry. I should have given them to you before I left but you will find it safely within my jewelry chest.
-Nydiam should be given the IstaNeysani Estate. The deed coordinates might be find under Ania's name but the property rightfully belongs to him and I request that my oversight be corrected.
